"The Dreadful" is a folk horror film written and directed by Natasha Kermani ("Imitation Girl", "V/H/S/85") based on a Shin Buddhist parable that previously inspired the 1964 film "Onibaba". The cast includes Kit Harington, Sophie Turner, Marcia Gay Harden, Laurence O'Fuarain and Jonathan Howard. The film was released in select theaters and via streaming on February 20, 2026.
