"Exit 8" is a Japanese psychological horror film directed by Genki Kawamura ("A Hundred Flowers") from a script he co-wrote alongside Kentaro Hirase ("Sai: Juchang ban") based on the 2023 video game "The Exit 8" developed by Kotake Create. The cast includes Kazunari Ninomiya, Yamato Kochi, Naru Asanuma, Kotone Hanase, and Nana Komatsu.

The film premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival in the Midnight Screenings section, and was released in theaters in Japan on August 29, 2025. In the US it opened in theaters on April 10, 2026 and was released on digital platforms on April 28th.

"Based on the global hit video game; a man is trapped in an endless subway corridor on his way to find Exit 8. He discovers a set of rules in order to escape: do not overlook anything out of the ordinary; if you discover an anomaly, turn back immediately; if you don't, carry on. A single oversight will send him back to the beginning. Will he ever reach his goal and exit this infinite nightmare?"
