Product Description: In La scoumoune a.k.a Hit Man, 1930s mobster Roberto La Rocca (Jean-Paul Belmondo) moves to Marseille to avenge his pal Xavier (Michel Constantin), who has been framed by the local crime bosses. Rocca gets caught up in clashes between different gangs and as a result serves a long stretch in prison, where he plots his daring escape. Superstar Belmondo (Breathless) shares sizzling scenes with another icon of cool, Claudia Cardinale (The Pink Panther), in this Euro-crime classic written and directed by Jose Giovanni (Le trou, Classe tous risques) and featuring a wildly original soundtrack by François de Roubaix. This 1972 film was the second adaptation of Giovanni’s source novel. The first, 1961’s A Man Called Rocca, was directed by Jean Becker and starred Belmondo in the same role.
