We have the Primetime Emmy nominations, now its time for the Daytime Emmys to unveil their contenders. The 2026 nominations for Outstanding Daytime Drama include ABC's "General Hospital", Peacock's "Days of Our Lives" and CBS' "The Young and the Restless" and "Beyond the Gates".

If you're wondering why only four nominees in this category, it's because of NATAS rules, which state that "in any category where there are fewer than ten (10) submissions, no more than 50% of submitted entries may be nominated. This is a longstanding rule that the National Awards Committee is enforcing across all competitions to ensure the integrity of NATAS competitions and maintain the reputation of excellence for nominees"

Overall, "The Young and the Restless" leads with 18 nominations, followed by "Behind the Gates" with 15 nods, and "General Hospital" with 13. The winners will be revealed during the 53rd annual Daytime Emmy Awards ceremony on October 30 at the Hollywood Palladium. The host has yet to be announced.
