Razzie Awards 2026 Winners: WAR OF THE WOLRDS Scores Five Wins Including One For Ice Cube

Tomorrow will be Oscars night, but today is Razzies day, as the parody awards show (dis)honors the worst cinematic disasters of 2025. And the worst of the worst this year is Amazon's meme-worthy sci-fi flick "War of the Worlds", which took home the undesirable trophies for Worst Picture, Worst Actor (Ice Cube), Worst Prequel/Remake/Rip-Off/Sequel, Worst Director (Riche Lee) and Worst Screenplay.

Disney's disastrous live-action movie "Snow White" took home two awards for Worst Supporting Actor and Worst Screen Combo, both for the grotesque CGI dwarfs. Meanwhile, Kate Hudson won the Razzie's Redeemer Award for her Oscar-nominated performance in "Song Sung Blue". Hudson previously received Razzie nominations for "Music" (2021), "Mother's Day" (2017), and "Fool's Gold"/"My Best Friend's Girl" (2009).

Razzie Awards Nominations 2026 - The Complete List

The nominees for the 46th edition of the Golden Raspberry Awards have been announced. Leading the pack of unfortunate honorees are Disney's live-action flop "Snow White" and Ice Cube's now infamously legendary "War of the Worlds" with six nominations each. Other nominated films include "The Electric State", "Hurry Up Tomorrow" and "Star Trek: Section 31".

In the acting categories we find Abel "The Weeknd" Tesfaye nominated for worst actor for his performance in "Hurry Up Tomorrow", which ended up with a total of five Razzie nods, Dave Bautista for "In the Lost Lands", Ice Cube for "War of the Worlds", Scott Eastwood for "Alarum", and Jared Leto for "Tron: Ares".

The worst actress nominees include Ariana DeBose ("Love Hurts"), Milla Jovovich ("In the Lost Lands"), Natalie Portman ("Fountain of Youth"), Rebel Wilson ("Bride Hard") and Michelle Yeoh ("Star Trek: Section 31").

The unlucky winners of the 46th annual Razzies will be revealed on March 14, 2026.

Razzie Awards 2025 Winners - The Complete List

"Madame Web" was the big winner at the 2025 Razzie Awards, earning three Golden Raspberries for Worst Picture, Screenplay and Actress (Dakota Johnson). "Joker: Folie a Deux" and "Unfrosted" were tied with two wins each, while Francis Ford Coppola claimed the prize for Worst Director for his epic passion project "Megalopolis". On a more positive note, Pamela Anderson took home the Razzie Redeemer award for her performance in "The Last Showgirl", after being named Worst New Star at the Razzies in 1996.

Razzie Nominations 2025 - The Complete List

Preparations are underway for the announcement of the Academy Award nominations on Thursday, January 23rd, after being delayed due to the Los Angeles fires. In keeping with tradition, the annual Golden Raspberry Awards were the first to announce their batch of honorees for the worst in film for 2024. Among them, "Joker: Folie à Deux" leads the pack with seven nominations, while "Madame Web", "Megalopolis", "Borderlands" and "Reagan" follow close behind with six nods apiece. The unlucky winners will be announced on March 1st, the day before the Academy Awards.

Razzie Award Nominations 2024: The Complete List

No awards season is complete without the Golden Raspberry Awards. The nominations for its 44th edition have been revealed, and the most-nominated film is "Expend4bles", scoring no less than seven nods, followed by "The Exorcist: Believer" and "Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey" tied with five nominations. We've also got two superhero movies in here, from both sides of the isle, DC's "Shazam! Fury of the Gods" and Marvel's "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" with four nods each.

Razzie Awards 2023 Winners: BLONDE and Tom Hanks Win Big

The unlucky winners of the 43rd annual Razzie Awards have been announced. The Marilyn Monroe biopic "Blonde" won top dishonors (Worst Picture & Worst Screenplay), while Tom Hanks went home with no less than two trophies for Worst Supporting Actor and Worst Screen Combo (for Hanks and his latex face), both for his performance in the otherwise acclaimed biopic "Elvis". The Worst Director award went to Machine Gun Kelly aka Colson Baker and Mod Sun for their work on "Good Mourning".

Disney also enjoyed a win this awards season in the Worst Remake/Rip-Off/Sequel category with their horrible live-action farse "Pinocchio". Jared Leto was named Worst Actor for his meme-orable performance in "Morbius". The superhero flick also delivered Adria Arjona a win for Worst Suppporting Actress.

In a surprising turn-of-events, the Best Actress award went to the Razzies themselves for the ill-conceived nomination of a pre-teen for worst actress. The Golden Raspberry Awards committee publicly apologized to the actress and changed the rules to disallow anyone under 18 before putting the awards organization in her place on the ballot.

Razzie Award Nominations 2023: Jared Leto, Tom Hanks and BLONDE

Before we get to the best of 2022, we first have to wade through the worst of 2022. The Razzie Awards once again highlight some of the worst movies and performances of the past year. The main contender this year appears to be Andrew Dominik's controversial Marilyn Monroe biopic "Blonde", which received no less than eight nominations, including Worst Picture and Director. Lead actress Ana de Armas did not receive a Razzie nomination, ending up with an Oscar nod instead, which in this case might be of little comfort as the quality of the movie virtually negates any chance of actually winning the Academy Award.

The other major contenders are the Machine Gun Kelly stoner comedy "Good Mourning" with seven nods, the comic book flick "Morbius" with five nomiantions, including one for lead actor Jared Leto for his meme-worthy performance, and Disney's reviled "Pinocchio" remake with six nominations. Tom Hanks outperformed all actors this year with three nods for two movies, "Pinocchio" and "Elvis".

Razzie Nominations 2022: DIANA THE MUSICAL and Bruce Willis Among Worst of 2021

The nominees for the 42nd Razzie Award nominations were announced on Monday. Netflix's "Diana the Musical" leads with 9 nominations, including Worst Picture, Director and all acting categories. This year Bruce Willis is in a league of his own, as he finds himself the star of a new Razzie category: Worst performance by Bruce Willis in a 2021 movie, which includes all eight films he's done last year.

Other nominees include the movie "Karen" and the thriller "The Woman in the Window" with five nods apiece, and "Space Jam: A New Legacy" with four nominations.

The unfortunate winners will be announced March 26th, on the day before the Oscars.

Razzie Awards 2021 Nominations: Full List of Nominees for the 41st Golden Raspberry Awards

The nominations for the 41st Golden Raspberry Awards have been revealed, and they include cinematic stinkers like the Robert Downey Jr flop "Dolittle", the misguided "Fantasy Island" remake, the Adam Sandler flick "Hubie Halloween", and the Polish "Fifty Shades of Grey" rip-off "365 Days".

There are of course some bizzare nominations, as is tradition for the Razzies, including Glenn Close getting a nod for "Hillbilly Elegy" while also nominated for an Oscar for the same role, and Kristen Wiig being nominated for "Wonder Woman 1984". Then there are the Rudy Giuliani nominations. Giuliani appeared in "Borat Subsequent Moviefilm" in a non-acting capacity, which makes the nominations more of a political statement.

The 41st Golden Raspberry Awards winners will be announced Saturday, April 24, 2021.

CATS Wins Top Dishonors at the Razzie Awards

It was 2019's most hated film by both critics and moviegoers, and its infamy has been confirmed at this year's Golden Raspberry Awards. Tom Hooper's ill-fated musical earned six Razzies, including Worst Picture and Director, while James Corden and Rebel Wilson received the dreaded trophies in the supporting acting categories.

The Sylvester Stallone action flick "Rambo: Last Blood" didn't go home empty-handed, either, nabbing trophies for Worst remake, rip-off or sequel and Worst reckless disregard for human life and public property. Honestly, that last one is sort of like a badge of honor for a Rambo movie.

Other winners include John Travolta for "The Fanatic", and Hilary Duff for "The Haunting of Sharon Tate".

Eddie Murphy won the Razzie Redeemer award, which honors a past Razzie recipient who has gone on to do better work, in this case Murphy's role in "Dolemite is My Name".

CATS, MADEA and RAMBO Top 2020 Razzie Nominations

Well, "Cats" finally got the awards recognition it was seeking, but I'm not sure it's exactly what the filmmakers had in mind. The film leads this year's Golden Raspberry Awards alongside "A Madea Family Funeral" and "Rambo: Last Blood", each film receiving eight nods, including Worst Picture, Supoorting Actress, Screen Combo and Screenplay.

The Razzies have also nominated some lesser-known films this year like "The Fanatic" starring John Travolta and the tasteless horror film "The Haunting of Sharon Tate", which is probably the most publicity these films ever got. Honestly, considering that they had to dig deep into direct-to-video fare for these two nominations, it feels like it was a slow year for bad films.

The Golden Raspberry Foundation also announced a new category called Worst Reckless Disregard for Human Life and Public Property, which isn't actually all that new because I remember "Con Air" was nominated in 1997 for that exact same award. It just got discontinued. Well, anyway, the nominees this year include "Joker" and "Dragged Across Concrete".

The Razzies normally air the night before the Oscars, but because the 92nd Academy Awards are presented early, a date for the 2020 Golden Raspberry Awards is still to be determined.

Razzie Awards 2019 Winners: HOLMES & WATSON and Donald Trump Win Big

The winners of the 2019 Razzie Awards have been announced. The 39th edition of the awards has generously rewarded the cinematic disaster that is "Holmes & Watson". The film won Worst Picture, Supporting Actor (John C. Reilly) and Prequel/Remake/Rip-Off.

In typical Razzie style, Donald Trump has received the questionable honor of being named Worst Actor for the documentaries "Death of a Nation" and "Fahrenheit 11/9". He also received the Worst Screen Combo award. This isn't Trump's first Razzie win, however. He also won in 1991 for his supporting turn in the fantasy comedy "Ghosts Can't Do It", which also starred Bo Derek and Anthony Quinn.

Even more interesting, Melissa McCarthy became a Razzie recipient this year for her performances in "The Happytime Murders" and "Life of the Party", but also received the Razzie Redeemer Award for her Oscar nominated role in "Can You Ever Forgive Me?".

The Barry L. Bumstead Award, which is given to critical and financial failures that would have been nominated if they had received an eligible release, was given to the crime drama "Billionaire Boys Club", which starred Kevin Spacey and only earned $618 in its opening weekend. However, to be fair, the film was first released through VOD a month before opening in only 10 theaters.

Razzies 2019: GOTTI, HAPPYTIME MURDERS and HOLMES & WATSON Lead Worst Picture Nominations

The nominations for the 39th Razzie Awards have been announced. This year's crop of stinkers include John Travolta's "Gotti", the comedy "Holmes & Watson" starring Will Ferrell, and the gritty (creepy) puppet show "Happytime Murders", which lead with six nods apiece. Other contenders include the horror film "Winchester" starring Helen Mirren and the box-office bomb "Robin Hood". Meanwhile, "Fifty Shades Freed" got away with a single nomination this year, for Worst Director (James Foley).

Razzies 2018: TRANSFORMERS, FIFTY SHADES and THE MUMMY Lead Worst Films Nominations

The weekend was all about the best of what Hollywood had to offer in 2017 with the PGA and SAG awards announcing their winners. But now it's Monday and we need to sober up. Here goes. The Golden Raspberry announced its full lineup of nominees, and the top contenders are "Transformers: The Last Knight" with 9 nods, "Fifty Shades Darker" with 8, and "The Mummy" with 7 nominations. Also, "Baywatch", "The Emoji Movie" and "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" were not forgotten by the sour Raspberry.

One surprising inclusion is that of the highly divisive "Mother!", nominated for Worst Actress (Jennifer Lawrence) and Worst Director (Darren Aronofsky). While the film was passionately loved and/or hated by moviegoers and critics alike, I feel it's misguided to claim that a provocative film is a bad film. And the film has been receiving decent scores on most sites. For example, Metacritic gave it a 75 from critic reviews and a 6.8 from user scores. But then again, it wouldn't be the Razzies without at least one questionable nominee.

The winners of the Razzies will be announced on March 3rd, the day before the Oscars.

2017 Razzie Award Winners: Hillary Documentary and BATMAN V SUPERMAN Win Big

"Hillary's America: The Secret History of the Democratic Party" and "Batman V Superman" were the big winners of the 37th Razzie Awards. The films were tied with four wins each, but the really big ones were scored by the infamous Hillary Clinton documentary. Its director, Dinesh D'Souza won two Golden Raspberries, for Worst Director and Worst Actor, as the film's narrator. The Razzies have never really been known for their fairness, and now they can add political pandering to their list of sins.

The comic book movie won for Worst Supporting Actor (Jesse Eisenberg), Worst Screen Combo (Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill), Worst Screenplay and Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-Off or Sequel.

This year's Razzie Redeemer Award went to Mel Gibson, who managed to rise above his past transgressions with the Oscar-nominated war film "Hacksaw Ridge".

Razzies 2016 Winners Include FIFTY SHADES OF GREY and FANTASTIC FOUR

Before the Oscars are awarded tonight, it's time for the other infamous awards institution to hand out its undesired trophies. We're talking about the dreaded Razzie Awards. The winners of the 2016 Razzies were announced and the big winner was "Fifty Shades of Grey" with five awards including Worst Picture which the S&M romance had to share with the comic book fiasco "Fantastic Four". The latter also took home Worst Remake and Director for Josh Trank. The Razzies also handed out the newly instituted Razzie Redeemer Award to this year's Oscar nominee Sylvester Stallone for his excellent work in "Creed".

2016 Razzie Awards Nominations

The nominations for the 2016 Golden Raspberry (Razzie) Awards have been announced. As usual, there are some good picks and some pretty weird ones. "Fifty Shades of Grey", "Pixels", "Jupiter Ascending" and "Paul Blart Mall Cop 2" dominate with six nominations each.

It's not all negativity, however, as the Razzies have included a 10th category last year, The Razzie Redeemer Award, which acknowledges past offenders who have redeemed themselves with some impressive work in the past year. The Redeemer winner is decided by a public vote of users from the Rotten Tomatoes website.

The 36th annual Razzie Awards winners will be announced on February 27th.

TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION Leads Razzie Nominations

It's time for everyone's favorite movie awards institution to announce its batch of nominees for 2014. These are not your usual excellence-celebrating awards. They are ... THE RAZZIES ! For this edition of the Golden Raspberry Awards, "Transformers: Age of Extinction" managed to bring in the most nominations (seven), including Worst Picture and Director (Michael Bay). Other really bad movies nominated this year are "Saving Christmas", "Left Behind", "The Legend of Hercules" and "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles".

This year's Razzies also feature a new awards category called the Razzie Redeemer Award which honors redeeming performances of actors who were once either nominees or winners of the dreaded Golden Raspberry. This year the Redeemed are Ben Affleck, Jennifer Aniston, Mike Myers, Keanu Reeves and Kristen Stewart.

2014 Razzies Awards Winners Announced

On the eve of the Oscars, the 750 members of the Golden Raspberry Foundation handed out the awards which celebrate the absolute worst movies, actors and filmmakers of 2013. This year, the competition was hard. So much so, that two movies were tied for the number of awards. One of the big winners this year is the star-studded comedy "Movie 43" which proved once and for all that the quantity of stars in a movie can be inversely proportional to the quality of a movie. The film ended up with three Razzies, including Worst Picture. The other film that won three Razzies is M. Night Shyamalan's sci-fi adventure "After Earth" which took home the (dis)honors for Worst Actor (Jaden Smith), Worst Supporting Actor (Will Smith) and Worst Screen Combo (Smith father and son). Other acting Razzies were awarded to Kim Kardashian and Tyler Perry.

2014 Razzie Awards Nominations Announced

Today, the infamous Razzie awards announced the nominations for the Worst of the Worst of 2013. The top nominees this year include "Movie 43", "Grown Ups 2", "A Madea Christmas" and "After Earth" with 6 nods each, and "The Lone Ranger" with five noms. Now, maybe I have poor taste in movies, but I really didn't think "The Lone Ranger" was Razzies material. Sure, maybe a Worst Screenplay nomination would have sufficed, but Worst Picture and Director ? Meanwhile, several really bad movies of 2013 got snubbed, if one could say so, including the undead-awful "R.I.P.D." and the moronic "Paranoia", not to mention at least one or two horror films released last year. Even "After Earth" didn't feel all that bad, especially compared to Shyamalan's "The Last Airbender". However, the director's bad reputation and the Smith family duo pairing probably doomed a movie that wasn't necessarily an earth-shattering stinker.

In the acting categories we find Lindsay Lohan, Naomi Watts, Selena Gomez, Halle Berry, Lady Gaga, Salma Hayek, Johnny Depp, Chris Brown, Adam Sandler, Tyler Perry, Ashton Kutcher and Sylvester Stallone. "The Hangover Part III" and "The Smurfs 2" are also on the list in the Worst Remake Rip-Off or Sequel category.
