2016 Razzie Awards Nominations

The nominations for the 2016 Golden Raspberry (Razzie) Awards have been announced. As usual, there are some good picks and some pretty weird ones. "Fifty Shades of Grey", "Pixels", "Jupiter Ascending" and "Paul Blart Mall Cop 2" dominate with six nominations each.

It's not all negativity, however, as the Razzies have included a 10th category last year, The Razzie Redeemer Award, which acknowledges past offenders who have redeemed themselves with some impressive work in the past year. The Redeemer winner is decided by a public vote of users from the Rotten Tomatoes website.

The 36th annual Razzie Awards winners will be announced on February 27th.

Weekend Box-Office: PAUL BLART 2 and UNFRIENDED No Match for FURIOUS 7

It was a close race, but "Furious 7" is the No. 1 movie at the box-office for a third consecutive week, while new releases "Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2" and "Unfriended" both performed very well. More after the jump.

In Theaters: PAUL BLART: MALL COP 2, TRUE STORY, UNFRIENDED, CHILD 44

This week we have three new wide releases. First, there's the comedy sequel "Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2" which has been mauled (I love that word) by critics. Then we have the online chat slasher thriller "Unfriended" which has been getting mostly favorable reviews. And last, but not least, we have the Stalin-era thriller "Child 44" starring Tom Hardy, Noomi Rapace and Gary Oldman, which was banned in Russia. As far as limited releases go, the most notable is the fact-based drama "True Story" starring James Franco and Jonah Hill. More about each movie after the jump.

New PAUL BLART: MALL COP 2 Clips and Posters

The comedy sequel "Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2" opens today in theaters and we have six new clips and three posters for the movie. The film stars Kevin James as the titular Paul Blart, who gets into more trouble in Las Vegas where he attends a Security Guard Expo. The film is being mauled by critics, and it's really no surprise. It currently holds an impressive 0% rating on Rottentomatoes.com which is no easy feat for any movie. The film is directed by Andy Fickman ("Race to Witch Mountain") and also stars Raini Rodriguez, Eduardo Verástegui, Daniella Alonso, Neal McDonough and David Henrie.

PAUL BLART: MALL COP 2 Trailer and Poster: Kevin James is Headed to Las Vegas

Here's one sequel I did not see coming: "Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2". It's actually been five years since the first one and while it made some solid money in 2009, it's not exactly a hugely popular film. But, I guess Sony feels that there's still an audience for it, because here it is, in all its gory glory with an official trailer and poster. Kevin James returns as Paul Blart, the bumbling mall cop, who is now headed to Las Vegas to attend a Security Guard Expo where he stumbles upon a heist put together by a dangerous crew. There are a few laughs scattered throughout the trailer, but most of it is just ridiculous, and not in a good way. The film also stars Raini Rodriguez, Eduardo Verástegui, Daniella Alonso, Neal McDonough and David Henrie.

"Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2" opens in theaters on April 17th, 2015.
