Independent Spirit Awards 2026 Winners - The Complete List

The winners of the 41st Film Independent Spirit Awards were revealed on Sunday afternoon at the Hollywood Palladium during a ceremony hosted by SNL alum Ego Nwodim. The big winners were "Train Dreams" and "Sorry, Baby". The former nabbed trophies for Best Feature, Director and Cinematography, while the latter took home awards for Best Screenplay and Supporting Performance. Alex Russell's "Lurker" won Best First Feature and First Screenplay.

In the TV categories, the Netflix miniseries "Adolescence" dominated with four wins. This was the first year in which the Spirit Awards, which used to take place the the day before the Oscars, shifted closer to the middle of awards season, while also switching venues, from the beach at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, to the Hollywood Palladium.

Oscar Nominations 2026 - The Complete List

The nominations for the 98th Academy Awards have been announced. Ryan Coogler's vampire horror film "Sinners" scored a record-breaking 16 nominations, including Best Picture. The previous record was 14 nominations, held by "All About Eve", "Titanic" and "La La Land". Closely behind is Paul Thomas Anderson's "One Battle After Another" with 13 nods, Best Picture included. The Best Picture contenders also include "Frankenstein", "Bugonia", "Hamnet", "Marty Supreme", "Sentimental Value", "Train Dreams", "F1" and "The Secret Agent".

Warner Bros leads the studio race with a total of 30 nominations, followed by Neon with 18 nods thanks to their foreign language films "Sentimental Value" and "The Secret Agent". Netflix came in third with 16 nomination earned by Guillermo del Toro's "Frankenstein" and "Train Dreams".

The Academy is also introducing a new category, which recognizes casting directors. The nominees for Achievement in Casting are Nina Gold ("Hamnet"), Jennifer Venditti ("Marty Supreme"), Cassandra Kulukundis ("One Battle After Another"), Francine Maisler ("Sinners") and Gabriel Domingues ("The Secret Agent").

The Oscars will air on ABC and will stream on Hulu on March 15th. Conan O’Brien will return to host.

PGA Awards 2026 Nominations - The Complete List

The nominations for the 2026 Producers Guild of America Awards have been announced. In the Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures category, the contenders are "Bugonia", "F1", "Frankenstein", "Hamnet", "Marty Supreme", "One Battle After Another", "Sentimental Value", "Sinners", "Train Dreams" and "Weapons".

In the television categories, the nominees include "Andor", "The Diplomat" ,"The Pitt", "Severance", "The White Lotus", "The Bear", "Hacks", "Only Murders in the Building", "South Park" and "The Studio".

The winners of the 37th annual PGA Awards ceremony will be revealed on February 28, 2026 at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles.

TRAIN DREAMS (2025) - Trailers, Featurettes, Images and Posters

"Train Dreams" is a drama directed by Clint Bentley, the Oscar-nominated co-writer of Sing Sing, from a script he co-wrote alongside Greg Kwedar (also nominated for an Academy Award for co-writing "Sing Sing"), based on the 2011 novella by Denis Johnson. The film stars Joel Edgerton, Felicity Jones, Clifton Collins Jr., Kerry Condon, and William H. Macy. It was released in select theaters on November 7, 2025, and on November 21st it was released via Netflix.

• The psychological drama "Die My Love" starring Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson. The film is directed by acclaimed Scottish filmmaker Lynne Ramsay ("We Need to Talk About Kevin") and produced by Martin Scorsese. The cast also includes Sissy Spacek, LaKeith Stanfield and Nick Nolte
• The sci-fi thriller "Mercy" starring Chris Pratt and Rebecca Ferguson. The film is directed by Timur Bekmambetov ("Wanted").
• The psychological thriller "No Other Choice" from Korean filmmaker Park Chan-wook ("Oldboy", "Decision to Leave") based on Donald Westlake's 1997 novel "The Ax", which was previously turned into a 2005 French film by Costa-Gavras. The cast includes Lee Byung-hun, Bong Joon-ho, Kim Jee-woon, and Ryoo Seung-wan.
• The neo-noir thriller "Ballad of a Small Player" starring Colin Farrell, Fala Chen, Deanie Ip, Alex Jennings, and Tilda Swinton. The film is directed by Edward Berger ("Conclave") from a script by Rowan Joffe ("28 Weeks Later", "The Informer") based on the 2014 novel of the same name by Lawrence Osborne.
• The period drama "Train Dreams" directed by acclaimed indie filmmaker Clint Bentley ("Sing Sing", "Jockey") based on the novella of the same name by Denis Johnson. The film stars Joel Edgerton, Felicity Jones, Clifton Collins Jr., Kerry Condon, and William H. Macy.
• The Chinese animated adventure film "The Royal Cat".

• Blumhouse's horror sequel "Five Nights at Freddy's 2" starring Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Lail and Piper Rubio. Based on the iconic video game franchise, the film is once again directed by Emma Tammi from a script the game's creator Scott Cawthon. The cast also includes McKenna Grace, Teo Briones, Wayne Knight, Matthew Lillard and Skeet Ulrich.
• "There Will Be Blood" and "Phantom Thread" filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson's new film "One Battle After Another" inspired by Thomas Pynchon's 1990 novel "Vineland". The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Sean Penn, Benicio del Toro, Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor and Chase Infiniti.
• The comedy "Good Fortune" starring Keanu Reeves, Aziz Ansari, Seth Rogen, Sandra Oh and Keke Palmer. Ansari also wrote and directed the film.
• The drama "Train Dreams" from Greg Kwedar & Clint Bentley, the filmmakers behind the Oscar-nominated drama "Sing Sing". Based on the 2011 novella by Denis Johnson, the film stars Joel Edgerton, Felicity Jones, Clifton Collins Jr., Kerry Condon and William H. Macy.
