Sentimental Value New On Dvd Bluray And 4k

Product Description: Joachim Trier, one of contemporary cinema’s great humanists, excavates layers of history and memory—both national and personal—for this rich, ineffably moving story of one family’s attempts to come to terms with generations of trauma and healing. After the death of their mother, two sisters must contend with the return home to Norway of their estranged father, celebrated filmmaker Gustav Borg (Stellan Skarsgård). In the case of Nora (Renate Reinsve), an actor, he hopes to reconnect by casting her in his new film—a project that both inflicts fresh wounds and reopens old ones. With a virtuoso ensemble cast that also includes Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas (in a breakout performance) and Elle Fanning, Trier’s film delicately balances each moment of humor and hurt, conducting a stunning emotional exploration of how the past echoes in the present and art can transform pain into catharsis.

Bafta 2026 Film Awards Winners Complete List

Paul Thomas Anderson's "One Battle After Another" was the big winner at the 79th BAFTA Film Awards on Sunday night. The film raked in a total of six wins out of 14 nominations, including Best Film and Director. Ryan Coogler's "Sinners" picked up only three wins for Original Screenplay, Supporting Actress, and Original Score, despite being nominated in 13 categories.

The biggest surprise occured in the Best Actor category, where Robert Aramayo beat out Leonardo DiCaprio and Timothee Chalamet with his performance as real-life Tourette Syndrome campaigner John Davidson in the biopic "I Swear". Davidson was in attendance at the ceremony, and due to his tics, which often include offensive language, host Alan Cumming had to address the crowd twice to ask for their understanding. Aramayo also won the EE Rising Star Award.

Jessie Buckley nabbed the Best Actress award for her performance in Chloe Zhao's "Hamnet", which also won the British Film prize. "Sentimental Value" won Film Not in the English Language.
