AFTERBURN (2025) - Trailer, Clips, Images and Posters

"Afterburn" is a post-apocalyptic action film directed by J.J. Perry ("Day Shift", "The Killer's Game") from a script by Matt Johnson and Nimród Antal ("Predators") based on the Red 5 Comics graphic novel of the same name by Scott Chitwood, Paul Ens and Wayne Nichols. • The sci-fi psychological thriller "Companion" written and directed by Drew Hancock and starring Sophie Thatcher and Jack Quaid.
• The though-provoking Norwegian thriller "Armand" written and directed by Halfdan Ullmann Tøndel, which won the Caméra d'Or for Best First Feature Film at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival. The film stars Renate Reinsve ("The Worst Person in the World", "Presumed Innocent"), Ellen Dorrit Petersen and Endre Hellestveit.

Channing Tatum, Dave Bautista, Steven Yeun, Zoë Kravitz, Léa Seydoux & Riley Keough Join Zellner Brothers comedy ALPHA GANG

Dave Bautista, Steven Yeun, Zoë Kravitz, Léa Seydoux, Riley Keough and Channing Tatum have been added to the Zellner brothers' ("Sasquatch Sunset") alien invasion comedy "Alpha Gang". The film also stars and is produced by Cate Blanchett. The film will be lensed by cinematographer Mike Gioulakis ("Split", "It Follows").

The film centers on a group of alien invaders sent to conquer Earth. Disguised in human form as a 1950s leather-clad biker gang, dubbed the Alpha Gang. They are ruthless in their mission, until they succumb to the most toxic and contagious human condition of all: emotions. Blanchett plays the Alpha Gang's indomitable leader, with the new cast members set to play the gang members. The film is scheduled to shoot in Spring 2025.

CAA Media Finance is handling North American distribution rights. The Zellner brothers are producing "Alpha Gang" for ZBi, with Blanchett and Coco Francini for Dirty Films, as well as Gina Gammell for Felix Culpa, Ryan Zacarias for Fat City, Mary Aloe for Aloe Entertainment and Andrea Bucko for Sugar Rush Pictures.

The film is presented by Rabbits Black whose Executive Producers are Sean Krajewski, Ronnie Exley, Lawrence Minicone and Jeremy Ross, along with Tyler Peters and Sophie Curtis of Electric Void, and Tom Ogden, in association with Aloe's partners at Partners in Kind, Gillian Hormel and Shelly Tygielski.

Kravitz is currently filming Darren Aronofsky's "Caught Stealing". Yeun can next be seen in Bong Joon-ho's sci-fi black comedy "Mickey 17".

Jeff Bridges, Dave Bautista, Bryan Cranston and More Starring in Live-Action Monster Movie GRENDEL

The Jim Henson Company has rounded out an all-star cast for their upcoming live-action film "Grendel". Robert D. Krzykowski ("The Man Who Killed Hitler") will write and direct the film which is based on John Gardner's novel that focuses on the story of the legendary monster at the heart of the Beowulf epic poem who steps forward to tell his side of the tale.

Jeff Bridges will star as Grendel, Dave Bautista has been cast as Beowulf, while Bryan Cranston will play King Hrothgar. Also joining the cast are Thomasin McKenzie as Queen Wealhtheow, Aidan Turner as Unferth and T Bone Burnett as the Shaper. Burnett will also provide original songs for the film.

Production is set to begin later this year in Europe. Jim Henson's Creature Shop will handle practical creature work and design.

Producers include Brian Henson and Vince Raisa for the Jim Henson Company, Krzykowski and Jay Glazer, who acquired the rights to the novel in 2020, Dennis Berardi and Jon D. Wagner. Executive producers are Bridges, John Sayles, Tamara Birkemoe and Joe Jenckes of Ashland Media Finance.

In a statement, Krzykowski said the following: "Grendel represents everything I love about the movies. John Gardner's mad masterpiece cleverly tackles what it is to be human through the wild-eyed lens of a monster. It's an honor to work with such a remarkable group of storytellers, all of whom seek to bring something wonderful and unexpected to audiences now".
