Jennifer Lawrence To Star In Romantic Comedy One Month Mark

Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence is set to star in and produce the upcoming romantic comedy "One Month Mark". The film was picked up by Apple Original Films following a competitive auction. The search for a director is currently underway.

The film follows two individuals, she has never made it past a month in a relationship; he has never gone longer than a month without one. The spec script penned by Sophie Fleur de Bruijn ("Early Action") was also involved in a bidding war between more than 40 producers, including major production companies with studio deals, independent financiers, and genre labels that would have been making their first foray into rom-com. The project also attracted unsolicited offers from studios and streamers, and was even described as "one of the best rom-com scripts in years". It was ultimately acquired by Chernin Entertainment.

Lawrence will produce through her Excellent Cadaver banner along with her partner Justine Ciarrocchi. Other producers include David Ready and Peter Chernin, while De Bruijn will executive produce alongside Brady Fujikawa of Chernin Entertainment. Fujikawa will oversee for Chernin. Apple has a first-look deal with both Chernin and Lawrence.

Lawrence recently wrapped production on Martin Scorsese's "What Happens at Night" in which she stars opposite Leonardo DiCaprio.

Jennifer Lawrence to Star in Adam McKay's Netflix Comedy DON'T LOOK UP
Jennifer Lawrence is set to star in an upcoming comedy from Adam McKay ("Vice", "The Big Short") that will debut on Netflix later this year.

Here's what McKay had to say about Lawrence and Netflix:
