Thai rapper, singer, dancer and actress Lalisa Manobal also known Lisa from the South Korean girl group Blackpink, is set to follow up her acting debut in the third season of "The White Lotus" with a Netflix romantic comedy penned by Katie Silberman ("Set It Up"). The film is executive produced by Emmy, Golden Globe, Peabody, and PGA winner David Bernad, who also served as an EP on "The White Lotus"
The plot is being kept under wraps, but it has been reported that Bernad and Lisa developed the premise on the set of "The White Lotus", after bonding over their shared appreciation for "Notting Hill", the classic 1999 romantic comedy starring Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant.
Executive producers include Bernad via his Middle Child Productions banner, Silberman, who has an exclusive multi-year creative partnership with Netflix, Alice Kang and Lisa.
Lisa is also set to star in the South Korean action-thriller "TYGO", a spinoff of Netflix's "Extraction" franchise that will be directed by Lee Sang-yong and also stars Don Lee (Ma Dong-seok).
Bernad is currently working on the fourth season of "The White Lotus", and recently finished filming the second season of "Jury Duty" and the Netflix comedy "Little Brother" starring John Cena and Eric André.
