The cast is led by Wyatt Russell ("Monarch: Legacy of Monsters"), who also executive produces. Russell reprises his role from "Monarch: Legacy of Monsters". In that show, Russell's father Kurt Russell played an older version of the character.

The series follows the story of Col. Lee Shaw (Russell), an American operative who, in 1984, went on a secret mission behind enemy lines in an attempt to stop the Soviets from unleashing a horrific new Titan big enough to destroy the U.S. and turn the tide of the Cold War.

The cast also includes Millie Brady, Pilou Asbaek, Corey Stoll, Ralph Ineson and Nyasha Hatendi. Character details are under wraps. Joby Harold is the showrunner.

CAITRIONA BALFE Stars in Alfonso Cuaron's Horror Thriller Series ASCENSION at Apple TV
"Outlander" star Caitriona Balfe is set to star in and executive produce the upcoming one-hour psychological horror thriller series "Ascension" from Oscar winner Alfonso Cuaron ("Disclaimer", "Gravity", "Children of Men"). The show has been greenlit by Apple TV.

The series, which is inspired by the novel "Last Days" by Adam Nevill, explores evil and innocence at the highest level, while asking how far we'll go – and what we'll sacrifice – to protect the ones we love, even when the greatest threat to them may be ourselves.

Balfe stars as Rose, a relentless documentary filmmaker and recently divorced mother, brilliant at uncovering others' truths but struggling to resolve her own.
