"The Bride!" is a horror romance written and directed by Maggie Gyllenhaal based on the 1935 film "Bride of Frankenstein", which in turn was based on Mary Shelley's 1818 novel "Frankenstein". The cast includes Jessie Buckley, Christian Bale, Peter Sarsgaard, Annette Bening, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Penélope Cruz. The film opened in theaters on March 6, 2026.

George Clooney And Annette Bening To Star In Amy Bloom Memoir Adaptation IN LOVE

Oscar winner George Clooney and five-time Oscar nominee Annette Bening are set to star in the drama "In Love" co-written and directed by Paul Weitz ("About a Boy") based on the New York Times bestselling memoir "In Love: A Memoir of Love and Loss" written by Amy Bloom ("White Houses", "Lucky Us"). The memoir was named Time magazine’s No. 1 nonfiction book of 2022 and included on its list of 100 must-read books. Bloom co-wrote the script with Weitz.

"In Love" is an illuminating modern love story about two people who make an impossible decision together that honors their enduring commitment to each other. Weitz describes the memoir as "a contemporary fable of love, wit and existential stakes" and says that he "can't wait to do it justice with this amazing cast".

Eddie Vaisman and Julia Lebedev ("Rental Family", "Bad Education") developed the project and will produce for Sight Unseen. Andrew Miano and Weitz will produce for Depth of Field. Clooney will produce with Grant Heslov for Smokehouse Pictures. Sébastian Raybaud will produce for Anton.

Bloom said the following about the film: "I have been so lucky to work with Eddie and Julie, so lucky to write with Paul and so grateful that this story of lasting love gets to be told on the screen, in Paul's gifted hands, by two of the greatest actors in America".

Clooney can next be seen in the Netflix movie "Jay Kelly" directed and co-written by Noah Baumbach, which will have a limited theatrical release on November 15, before getting released via Netflix on December 5. Clooney also earned a Tony Award nomination for his Broadway debut in "Good Night, and Good Luck", a stage adaptation of his Oscar-nominated 2015 film.

Bening can also be seen in Maggie Gyllenhaal's "The Bride" opposite Jessie Buckley, Christian Bale, Penélope Cruz and Peter Sarsgaard, the Apple TV series "Lucky" in which she stars alongside Anya Taylor-Joy, and she's also filming the "Yellowstone" spinoff series The Dutton Ranch.

Annette Bening Joins YELLOWSTONE Beth and Rip Spinoff Series

Golden Globe winner and five-time Oscar-nominated actress Annette Bening has signed on to star in Taylor Sheridan's upcoming "Yellowstone" spinoff that focuses on Beth and Rip. Bening wil star as Beulah Jackson, who is described as "the powerful, cunning, and charming head of a major ranch in Texas". Cole Hauser and Kelly Reilly will reprise their lead roles alongside Finn Little who will return as Carter.

"Lawmen: Bass Reeves" showrunner Chad Feehan joins the series as showrunner and executive producer. The new series is believed to pick up shortly after the aftermath of the main show's finale. There are also two other "Yellowstone" spinoff shows in developement. The first is "Y: Marshals" in which Luke Grimes reprieses the role of Kayce Dutton. The other one is "The Madison" starring Michelle Pfeiffer.

Bening is also set to star in the Apple TV+ series "Lucky" opposite Anya Taylor-Joy.

Chris Pine to Star in and Make Directorial Debut on POOLMAN

"Star Trek" star is set to make his feature directorial debut with the mystery/comedy "Poolman". The project, which has been described as "Big Lebowski meets LA film noir with a healthy splash of La La Land", will reunite Pine with "Wonder Woman" helmer Patty Jenkins, who is on board to produce the film. Pine co-wrote the script with Ian Gotler, who is a partner at Pine's production banner Barry Linen Motion Pictures.

Pine will also star as Darren Barrenman, a hapless dreamer and would-be philosopher who spends his days looking after the pool of the Tahitian Tiki apartment block in sunny Los Angeles and crashing city council meetings with his neighbors Jack (Danny DeVito) and Diane (Annette Bening). When Barrenman uncovers the greatest water heist in LA history since Chinatown he makes uneasy alliances with a beautiful and connected femme fatale while following every lead he can with corrupt city officials, burned out Hollywood types, and mysterious benefactors – all in the name of protecting his precious Los Angeles. Lots of fun cameos are to be expected.

Production is expected to begin June 2022 in Los Angeles. Stuart Ford and Linda McDonough will executive produce. The film will be presented to buyers this week at the EFM. "Poolman" has yet to set a release date.

Pine can next be seen in the thriller "The Contractor" with Kiefer Sutherland and Ben Foster, "Violence of Action", "Don't Worry Darling" and the film adaptation of "Dungeons and Dragons", which has recently wrapped filming and will debut in 2023. Also, he is attached to reprise the role of Captain Kirk in an untitled "Star Trek" sequel in 2023.
