THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA 2 Starts Filming and Adds Kenneth Branagh, Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux and More to Cast

"The Devil Wears Prada 2" is now in production with Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci reprising their roles. There are also a lot of newcomers added to the call sheet including: Kenneth Branagh, Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, B.J. Novak, Pauline Chalamet, Simone Ashley ("Bridgerton"), Helen J. Shen ("Maybe Happy Ending"), Conrad Ricamora ("Oh, Mary!") and comedian Caleb Hearon.

The original film was based on Lauren Weisberger's 2004 novel "The Devil Wears Prada" and it followed aspiring journalist Andy Sachs (Hathaway) who gets a job as an assistant at a glossy fashion magazine but finds herself tormented by her demanding editor-in-chief, the cynical Miranda Priestly (Streep). Weisberger briefly worked as Anna Wintour's assistant at Vogue, and for that reason, it is widely believed that Wintour was the inspiration for the Miranda Priestly character. "The Devil Wears Prada" was box-office hit earning $125 million in North America, and $326 million worldwide. It also received two Oscar nominations for Streep's performance and Patricia Field's Costume Design.

Plot details for the sequel have not been officially revealed, but according to reports, it will follow Miranda Priestly as she navigates her career amid the decline of traditional magazine publishing. She will face off against her former assistant, played by Emily Blunt in the original, who is now a high-powered executive for a luxury group with advertising dollars that Priestly desperately needs.

Branagh is set to play Priestly's husband, but most of the other roles have not been revealed. Two other returning characters are Lily (Tracie Thoms) and Irv Ravitz (Tibor Feldman).

David Frankel is back in the director's chair, while the first film's writer Aline Brosh McKenna also returned to pen the sequel's script. Karen Rosenfelt and McKenna will executive produce.

Produced by Disney's 20th Century Studios, "The Devil Wears Prada 2" will open in theaters on May 1, 2026.

THE KING OF KINGS (2025) - Movie Trailers, Images and Posters

"The King of Kings" is an animated Christian epic written and directed by Seong-ho Jang loosely based on the children's book "The Life of Our Lord" written by English novelist Charles Dickens, for his young children.

The film follows Dickens as he narrates the story Jesus Christ, and together with his son Walter, embarks on a journeys through Jesus' life, from humble beginnings to ultimate sacrifice, discovering the transformative power of faith along the way. The voice cast includes Kenneth Branagh, Uma Thurman, Mark Hamill, Pierce Brosnan, Roman Griffin Davis, Forest Whitaker, Ben Kingsley and Oscar Isaac.

DGA Awards 2022 Nominations - The Complete List (Film & Television)

The Directors Guild of America has announced the nominations for this year's awards. In the film categories, Kenneth Branagh scored his first ever nomination for "Belfast", while Steven Spielberg is nominated for the twelfth time for "West Side Story". Spike Lee will received a a Lifetime Achievement Award for Distinguished Achievement in Motion Picture Directing

In television, HBO's "Succession" scored all five nomination spots in the Dramatic TV Series category. A similar feat was achieved in 1983, when "Hill Street Blues") nabbed all three spots that were available at the time. Since the introduction of the five-nomination categories, no drama or comedy shows have ever nabbed all of them. Other nominated shows this year include "Ted Lasso", "The White Lotus" and "Hacks".

The winners of the 74th Annual DGA Awards will be revealed on March 12, 2022.

TENET (2020) - Trailers, Featurettes, Images and Posters

"Tenet" is a sci-fi spy thriller written and directed by Christopher Nolan ("Inception", Interstellar"). The film stars John David Washington as The Protagonist, a secret agent who must manipulate the flow of time in order to prevent World War III. Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Martin Donovan, Fiona Dourif, Himesh Patel, Michael Caine, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Kenneth Branagh co-star.

The release of "Tenet" in theaters was delayed three times due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The film opened in theaters in the U.K. on August 26, 2020. In the U.S. it was released in select theaters on September 3, 2020. It is the first major Hollywood release to open in theaters after the pandemic shutdown.
