28 Days Later 2002 New On 4k Ultra Hd

Product Description: Animal rights activists free a group of infected chimpanzees to horrifying results in this speculative sci-fi horror effort from Trainspotting director Danny Boyle. Waking from a coma in a deserted London hospital 28 days later, bicycle courier Jim (Cillian Murphy) takes to the deserted city streets in a state of mystified confusion. Joining forces with another group of survivors following a terrifying encounter in a seemingly abandoned church, Jim soon learns the truth behind the deserted streets and the menacing creatures that lurk in the shadows. It's soon revealed that the chimpanzees had been harboring a deadly virus that sends its victims into a furious, murderous rage, and in the days following the initial exposure, the entire population was nearly wiped out due to the resulting homicidal rampage. Is there still a glimmer of hope for humanity -- or has the deadly "rage" virus found its way to foreign shores and infected the entire planet?

Steven Knight's PEAKY BLINDERS Sequel Series Gets Two-Season Order at Netflix & BBC

The story of the Shelby family is not yet finished, as "Peaky Blinders" creator and writer Steven Knight will bring it back to the small screen in the form of two new six-part hourlong seasons of a sequel series. The new show was greenlit by Netflix and the BBC, with original show star Cillian Murphy set to executive produce alongside Knight. BBC One will air it in the UK and Netflix globally.

The sequels will follow the events of the "Peaky Blinders" movie, which is currently in post-production and is expected to be released next year. Here is the offiial logline: "Britain, 1953. After being heavily bombed in WWII, Birmingham is building a better future out of concrete and steel. In a new era of Steven Knight’s Peaky Blinders, the race to own Birmingham’s massive reconstruction project becomes a brutal contest of mythical dimensions. This is a city of unprecedented opportunity and danger: with the Shelby family right at its blood-soaked heart."

The new series will be shot at Knight's Digbeth Loc. Studios in Birmingham. Both seasons will be produced by Kudos ("SAS Rogue Heroes", "House of Guinness", "Grantchester") and Garrison Drama ("Peaky Blinders" Seasons 1-6, "The Peaky Blinders Movie"). Here's what Knight had to say: "I'm thrilled to be announcing this new chapter in the Peaky Blinders story. Once again it will be rooted in Birmingham and will tell the story of a city rising from the ashes of the Birmingham blitz. The new generation of Shelbys have taken the wheel and it will be a hell of a ride."

Netflix's Mona Qureshi added: "We couldn't be more excited to be embarking on a new chapter of Peaky Blinders with our wonderful partners at Kudos, Garrison Drama and the BBC. There are few modern storytellers to match Steven Knight and we will be on the edge of our seats as he returns to the streets of Birmingham and to the next generation of the Shelby family. Along with our global audience, we are ready to be captivated anew!"

The original "Peaky Blinders" series became a global phenomenon, winning the BAFTA for Best Drama Series for its fourth season. It has since received several tie-in books, clothing lines, a video game, ballet and an immersive theater production.
