YELLOWSTONE Spinoff MARSHALS Renewed for Season 2 at CBS

Yellowstone Spinoff Marshals Renewed For Season 2 At Cbs

Just 12 days after its premiere on March 1st, Taylor Sheridan's "Marshals", a spinoff of his hit show "Yellowstone", has already been renewed for a second season at CBS. According to CBS, the show’s two-episode premiere scored 20.6 million multiplatform viewers (including CBS and Paramount+) within seven days, making it the most-watched broadcast original series premiere without an NFL lead-in since 2017, when CBS aired the "Young Sheldon" premiere.

The premiere episode of "Marshals" also ranks as the most-streamed episode of a CBS program ever on Paramount+. It was the week's No. 1 show, ending a week of midseason premieres on the network, including the week's No. 2 show, "Tracker".

CBS Entertainment executive Amy Reisenbach said in a statement: "'Marshals' delivered a breakout performance, capturing a massive audience across platforms and quickly establishing itself as one of TV's most powerful new series. The overwhelming viewer response speaks to the strength of the 'Yellowstone' world, the bold character driven storytelling from the creative team and the dynamic cast performances led by Luke Grime".

Produced by Paramount TV Studios and 101 Studios, "Marshals" stars Luke Grimes as "Yellowstone" main character Kayce Dutton, who joins an elite unit of U.S. Marshals, combining his skills as a cowboy and Navy SEAL to bring range justice to Montana. The cast also includes Logan Marshall-Green, Arielle Kebbel, Ash Santos, Tatanka Means, Brecken Merrill, Mo Brings Plenty and Gil Birmingham.

Sheridan executive produces alongside David Glasser, John Linson, Art Linson, Spencer Hudnut, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Michael Freidman, Grimes and Greg Yaitanes.
