GEN V Star Asa Germann to Play Angel in X-MEN Reboot

Asa Germann ("Gen V", "Scream 7") is the latest addition to the cast of Marvel's "X-Men" reboot. The actor is set to play the flying mutant Angel in the upcoming film directed by Jake Schreier ("Thunderbolts"). The script is penned by Lee Sung Jin ("Beef") and Joanna Calo ("The Bear").

The cast also includes Sadie Sink as Jean Grey, Kit Connor as Cyclops, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, Inde Navarrette as Rogue, Christopher Abbott as Professor X, Maya Boyd as Storm, and Adam Driver as the vilainous Mr. Sinister.

Angel aka Warren Worthington III, was created by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby. The character first appeared in "The X-Men" #1 in September 1963, and in the comics he's a founding member of the X-Men. Later stories revealed that prior to joining the team, he had acted as a vigilante under the moniker Avenging Angel. He was previously played by Ben Foster and Cayden Boyd as young and adult versions in the 2006 film "X-Men: The Last Stand", and by Ben Hardy as his evil alter-ego Archangel in 2016's "X-Men: Apocalypse".

The untitled Marvel "X-Men" movie will be released in theaters on May 5, 2028.

Christopher Abbott, Adam Driver, Inde Navarette & Maya Boyd Join Marvel's X-MEN Movie

A major casting update for Marvel's "X-Men" movie was revealed at Disney's D23 event in Anaheim. Christopher Abbott ("Poor Things", "Wolf Man") is on board to star as Charles Xavier aka Professor X, while Adam Driver will play the villainous Nathaniel Milbury aka Mister Sinister. Also joining the cast are "Obsession" breakout star Inde Navarette as Rogue, and stage actress Maya Boyd ("& Juliet") making her film debut as Ororo Munroe aka Storm.

The release date has also been revealed, and it's May 5, 2028. The film is directed by Jake Schreier ("Beef", "Thunderbolts", "Robot & Frank") from a script by Joanna Calo ("The Bear"), Lee Sung Jin ("Beef") and Michael Lesslie ("Macbeth", "The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes").

Mister Sinister is a supervillain created by artist Marc Silvestri and writer Chris Claremont. The character first appeared as the employer of the Marauders in "The Uncanny X-Men" #212 (December 1986), and made his first full appearance in "The Uncanny X-Men" #221 (September 1987). He was voiced by Christopher Britton in "X-Men: The Animated Series", and by Clancy Brown in "Wolverine and the X-Men". The 2028 Marvel movie will be the character's live-action cinematic debut.

Mister Sinister is the persona of Dr. Nathaniel Essex, a London biologist in the 19th century. Inspired by the work of his contemporary Charles Darwin, he becomes obsessed with engineering humanity into a perfect race of superhumans. Following the death of his infant son and his wife Rebecca, Essex allies himself with Apocalypse, who uses Celestial technology to transform him into an ageless man with superpowers. Sinister develops a great interest towards the mutant heroes Cyclops and Jean Grey, believing their DNA can create the ultimate mutant. Later, the Krakoan Age storyline revealed that the original Mister Sinister was one of several clones of the original Nathaniel Essex; these other clones consist of Doctor Stasis, Orbis Stellaris, and Mother Righteous.

The cast also includes Samara Weaving as Emma Frost and Kit Connor as Cyclops. Sadie Sink was already revealed as Jean Gray in the MCU movie "Spider-Man: Brand New Day", which is now in theaters.

Marvel's upcoming new projects include a "Ghost Rider" movie starring Ryan Gosling, and "Black Panther 3", which will star David Jonsson in the titular role as T'Challa's grown son in Black Panther 3. Both films will be released December 2028.

Today we have new trailers for:

• Marvel's highly anticipated superhero film "Avengers: Doomsday" directed by the Russo brothers. The film is set 14 months after the events of "Thunderbolts", and will feature the Avengers, Wakandans, the New Avengers from Earth-616, the Fantastic Four from Earth-828, and the "original" X-Men from a separate universe. They must all join forces to face the latest world-threatening villain Doctor Doom (Robert Downey Jr.).
• The comedy "Rolling Loud: The Movie" written and directed by Jeremy Garelick ("Best.Worst.Weekend.Ever.", "Murder Mystery 2"). The film stars Owen Wilson, Matt Rife, Christine Ko, Henry Winkler, and Christian Convery alongside musical guests such as Sexyy Red, Ty Dolla Sign, Ski Mask the Slump God, and Travis Scott.
• Netflix's new thriller "Animals" starring Ben Affleck and Kerry Washington. Affleck also directs from a script he co-wrote alongside Billy Ray ("Captain Phillips") and Connor O. McIntyre. The cast also includes Gillian Anderson, Adriana Paz, Ray Fisher, Matt Gerald, Luis Gerardo Méndez, and Steven Yeun.
• The CG animated comedy "The Bluey Movie" based on the "Bluey" children's television sereis. The film is directed by series creator Joe Brumm and Richard Jeffery, and produced by Ludo Studio and BBC Studios. David McCormack and Melanie Zanetti reprise their voice roles from the series.
• The Mecha anime sequel "Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway".
• The neo-noir crime thriller "Just Play Dead" starring Samuel L. Jackson and Eva Green. The film is directed by Martin Campbell ("Goldeneye", "Casino Royale", "The Mask of Zorro").

Kit Connor in Talks to Play Cyclops in Marvel's X-MEN Movie

As the X-Men are getting ready to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we're starting to see the first real updates on who will be part of Marvel's mutant team. The lastest addition to the ensemble seems to be Kit Connor ("Heartstopper", "Warfare"), who is reportedly in talks to play Cyclops. Marvel previously announced that Samara Weaving will star as Emma Frost. Sadie Sink also appeared as Jean Grey in "Spider-Man: Brand New Day", which is now in theaters.

Cyclops was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, and first appeared in "The X-Men" #1 (1963). Cyclops can fire optic blasts from his eyes, but instead of functioning as lasers or producing heat, the beams are made from kinetic force. His body absorbs surrounding energy and releases it through his eyes.

The film, which is the first standalone "X-Men" movie since 21st Century Fox was acquired by Disney in 2019, will be directed by Jake Schreier ("Thunderbolts", "Robot & Frank", "Paper Towns"). Plot details for the Marvel Studios reboot remain under wraps, and no release date has been set, but it has been reported that Marvel Studios is aiming for a 2028 release.

Beside the new cast members, Marvel will include several actors from the old "X-Men" movies roster in their upcoming film "Avengers: Doomsday", including Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Rebecca Romijn and James Marsden, who starred as Magneto, Professor X, Mystique and Cyclops, respectively, in the Fox movies.

SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY (2026) - Trailers, Clips, Featurettes, Images and Posters

"Spider-Man: Brand New Day" is a new installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. The cast includes Tom Holland, Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Florence Pugh, Tramell Tillman, Marisa Tomei, and Mark Ruffalo. The film opened in theaters on July 27, 2026.

Ryan Gosling To Play Ghost Rider In New Marvel Movie

Ryan Gosling is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Ghost Rider. The announcement was made by Marvel Studios executive Kevin Feige at the San Diego Comic Con. The standalone film will be directed by Shawn Levy ("Star Wars: Starfighter", "Deadpool & Wolverine") from a script by Jonathan Tropper ("Star Wars: Starfigher", "Banshee"), and will be released in 2028.

Here's what Levy had to say while on stage at Hall H: "I'm having the greatest flashback vibes here, because I was here two years ago when we showed 'Deadpool & Wolverine'. I'll never forget that night, because I was introduced to the greatest fans. Gosling is the absolute shit. I say that with tremendous respect. We spent a lot of time last year making 'Starfighter', and the opportunity as Ryan started talking about this character, I was like, 'Bro, let's ride'. We'll see you in 2028!"

Gosling added: "Wow, is this really happening? As you know, this is a character I've wanted to play for a very long time".

Ghost Rider was previously played by Nicolas Cage in two Sony movies, after which the rights to the character reverted to Marvel Studios, who then rebooted the character with Gabriel Luna in the ABC series "Agents of SHIELD".

Gosling can next be seen in "Star Wars: Starfighter", which is also directed by Levy and written by Tropper. The film co-stars Mia Goth, Amy Adams, Matt Smith and Aaron Pierre. The release date has been set for May 28, 2027.

David Jonsson to Lead BLACK PANTHER 3

"Alien Romulus" and "The Long Walk" star David Jonsson is the new Black Panther. The news was announced at Marvel's Comic-Con Hall H panel. The actor will play T'Challa's son, Prince T'Challa II, as he comes of age after he was introduced as a child in "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever".

"Black Panther 3" is once again directed by Ryan Coogler, and the release date has been set for December 15, 2028. Leticia Wright and Winston Duke will reprise their roles as as Shuri and M'Baku, respectively.

Boseman, who portrayed T'Challa in the first "Black Panther" died of colon cancer in 2020. Wright took over as titular superhero in the sequel "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever". Before Jonsson takes over the role, Wright will back in action as Black Panther as part of the "Avengers: Doomsday" cast.

Released in 2018, "Black Panther" grossed $1.3 billion worldwide and received seven Oscar nominations, including Best Picture, and won three, including Best Costume Design, Best Production Design and Best Original Score. The sequel, "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" was released in 2022 and it grossed $859 million worldwide. It was nominated for five Academy Awards.

MARVEL ZOMBIES Miniseries Trailer, Images and Posters

"Marvel Zombies" is a four-part adult animated miniseries created by Bryan Andrews and Zeb Wells. Based on the Marvel Comics series of the same name and set in an alternate timeline introduced in "What If...?", the show is the 16th TV series in the MCU and the first TV-MA Marvel series.

The voice cast includes Iman Vellani, Dominique Thorne, Hailee Steinfeld, Kerry Condon, Kenna Ramsey, Todd Williams, Kari Wahlgren, Florence Pugh, David Harbour, Simu Liu, Awkwafina, Randall Park, Feodor Chin, Wyatt Russell, Rama Vallury, Elizabeth Olsen, Hudson Thames, Paul Rudd, Greg Furman, Adam Hugill, Daniel Swain, Sheila Atim, Tessa Thompson, F. Murray Abraham, and Zenobia Shroff.

Marvin Jones III To Play Tombstone In SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY

Marvin Jones III ("Black Lightning", "All American: Homecoming") has signed on to star in the upcoming Marvel movie "Super-Man: Brand New Day". The actor will play comic book villain Tombtone, aka Lonnie Lincoln, one of New York's nastiest crime bosses and a recurring character in the Spider-Man comics. Tombstone was created by writer Gerry Conway and artist Alex Saviuk, and he first appeared in "Web of Spider-Man" #36 in March 1988.

Jones was also tapped to voice Tombstone in Sony's "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse", as well as the upcoming sequel "Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse".

Production on "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" has been paused for a week, after star Tom Holland suffered a concussion on set. Meanwhile, casting on the project continues. Production resumes September 29th, and is still on course to meet its theatrical release date of July 31, 2026.

The film is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton ("Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings") and it also stars Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Liza Colón-Zayas, and Mark Ruffalo.

Jones can next be seen starring opposite Emilia Clarke and Adria Arjona in Amazon's "Criminal" and in Jonás Cuarón's "Gringo Champion".

Tramell Tillman Joins the Cast of SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY

Emmy-nominated "Severance" actor Tramell Tillman has joined the cast of Sony and Marvel's "Spider-Man: Brand New Day". The fourth film in the Tom Holland Spider-man series is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton ("Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings") from a script by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers.

Plot details are being kept under wraps, and Tillman's character is unknown. The cast also includes Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Mark Ruffalo, Sadie Sink and Liza Colón-Zayas. The new installment will open in theaters on July 31, 2025.

Tillman recently starred opposite Tom Cruise in "Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning". The actor is currently in production on the Amazon/MGM film "Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother" and Lena Dunham's Netflix film "Good Sex".

"Eyes of Wakanda" is an animated miniseries based on the Marvel Comics, and it's the 25th series in the MCU, as well as the 11th installment of Phase 5. The voice cast includes Gary Anthony Williams, Anika Noni Rose, Cress Williams, Lynn Whitfield, Steve Tossaint and Winnie Harlow. The show premiered on August 1, 2025 on Disney+.

Tom Holland Reveals SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY Suit

Tom Holland has revealed his new Spidey suit for Marvel's upcoming film "Spider-Man: Brand New Day". The full unveiling arrived on Saturday morning, following a brief tease on August 1st, which was national Spider-Man Day. The reveal came via a social media video, in which the actor simply asks: "We ready ?"

"Spider-Man: Brand New Day" will be released in theaters on July 31, 2026. This is the fourth installment in the Sony/Disney Spider-Man series set in the MCU. The last film in the series was "Spider-Man: No Way Home", in which Holland shared the screen with Sony's two previous Spider-Men played by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.

"Brand New Day" will take inspiration from the Spider-Man comic storyline of the same name, in which Spidey makes a deal with the devil Mephisto to make the world forget his identity and to resurrect Aunt May (who perished in "No Way Home"), but it also dissolves his marriage to MJ and effectively reboots his world.

The film is directed by "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" helmer Destin Daniel Cretton, and will also star Sadie Sink and Liza Colon-Zayas. Jon Bernthal's Punisher and Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner aka the Hulk, will also appear in the movie.

"The Fantastic Four: First Steps" is Marvel's 37th film in the long-running Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the second reboot of the "Fantastic Four" film series. The film is directed by Matt Shakman ("WandaVision") from a script by Josh Friedman, Eric Pearson, Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer.

The cast includes Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Joseph Quinn, Julia Garner, Sarah Niles, Mark Gatiss, Natasha Lyonne, Paul Walter Hauser and Ralph Ineson. "The Fantastic Four: First Steps" opened in theaters on July 25, 2025.

IRONHEART Miniseries Trailers, Clip, Featurettes, Images and Posters

"Ironheart" is a new Marvel superhero miniseries created by Chinaka Hodge and produced by Ryan Coogler. The show, which concludes Phase 5 of the MCU, is set after the events of "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever", and it stars Dominique Thorne as MIT student and teenage inventor Riri Williams, who creates the most advanced suit of armor since Iron Man.

The cast also includes Anthony Ramos, Lyric Ross, Manny Montana, Matthew Elam, Eric Andre and Alden Ehrenreich. "Ironheart" premiered its first three episodes on June 24, 2025 on Disney+. The other three episodes wlil be released on July 1st.
