Diane Kruger ("Troy", "Inglourious Basterds"), Dany Boon ("Joyeux Noel", "Micmacs") and Tim Roth ("Reservoir Dogs", "Pulp Fiction") are set to star in the upcoming Netflix historical thriller "Project K". The film is directed by Yvan Attal from a screenplay he wrote with Laurent Turner.
Kruger and Boon star as Beate and Serge Klarsfeld, real-life husband-and-wife Nazi hunters who spent years hunting Nazis after the end of World War II. Famously, they pursued Klaus Barbie (Roth) who was head of the Gestapo in Lyon and was responsible for the deaths of thousands of Jews, earning the monicker of "Butcher of Lyon".
Filming is currently underway in the French cities of Paris and Lyon, as well as in Bolivia and Belgium.
Here is the official synopsis: "Nothing destined Beate, a German, and Serge Klarsfeld, a French Jew, to meet. But their love and their shared thirst for justice would drive them to relentlessly hunt down Klaus Barbie, who was head of the Gestapo in Lyon. A ten-year pursuit waged against every power that tried to stop them".
