Oscar nominee Steven Yeun ("Minari", "Beef") has signed on to lead the upcoming Netflix supernatural drama "Pagans". The show hails from "Say Nothing" creator Joshua Zetumer, who also serves as showrunner and executive producer. Drew Goddard ("The Martian", "The Cabin in the Woods") and Sarah Esberg executive produce via Goddard Textiles, alongside Yeun and Christina Oh for Celadon Pictures, Jonathan van Tulleken and Erica Kay.
Here is the official synopsis: "'Pagans' follows a man who becomes the sole caretaker of his two children after the tragic loss of his wife. While his son is typical, his daughter, Alice, is anything but. What starts as a strained father-daughter relationship soon evolves into something far more sinister. Equal parts emotional, horrifying, and humorous, Pagans is a show that unearths all our darkest thoughts about family."
The show was originally announced with a straight-to-series order last year in a competitive situation. Production is scheduled to begin on October 26, 2026 in New York City, and the wrap date is expected to be April 13, 2027. There's no release date yet.
