More A-listers are joining
"The Dark Knight" and
"Interstellar" filmmaker
Christopher Nolan's new film.
Zendaya and
Anne Hathaway have joined the cast of the director's untitled upcoming feature, which already stars
Tom Holland and
Matt Damon. Hathaway previously worked with the filmmaker on
"Interstellar" and
"The Dark Knight Rises".
As expected, plot details are being kept under wraps. Nolan wrote the script and is directing. Universal Pictures will distribute. Nolan is producing alongside producing partner and wife
Emma Thomas for their Syncopy banner. The release date has been set for July 17, 2026. The movie is expected to start shooting in early 2025.
For this project, Nolan reunites with the studio that made his drama
"Oppenheimer", which grossed $976 million worldwide and won 7 Oscars, including Best Picture.
"Oppenheimer" was picked up by the studio in an open auction setting, and it marked the first time the filmmaker split with longtime partner Warner Bros.
"Zendaya" is currently filming the A24 feature
"The Drama" in which she stars opposite
Robert Pattinson and
Alana Haim. Hathaway can next be seen in
David Lowery' film
"Mother Mary" and Warner Bros'
"Flowervale Street" from Bad Robot.
