Two-time Emmy winner
Julianne Nicholson has joined the second season of the HBO crime drama series
"Task", and she will be reprising her Emmy-winning role as Lori Ross, from
"Mare of Easttown". While the crossover between
"Task" and
"Mare of Easttown" might seem strange, both shows hail from the same creator and showrunner,
Brad Ingelsby, and take place in the working-class suburbs of Philadelphia.
Here is the Season 2 official synopsis:
"Tom Brandis (Mark Ruffalo) takes the helm of a new task force, but the deeper the operation runs, the harder it is to tell who’s the target".

"Mare of Easttown" premiered on HBO in 2021 and starred
Kate Winslet, Jean Smart, Angourie Rice, Cailee Spaeny, Evan Peters, Sosie Bacon and
Guy Pearce. It won 4 Emmys and was nominated for a total of sixteen trophies. Although it was originally a miniseries, Winslet and Ingelsby have teased a second season of
"Mare of Easttown".
Ingelsby serves as creator, writer, showrunner and executive producer.
Paul Lee and
Mark Roybal executive produce for wiip alongside
Jeremiah Zagar, Mark Ruffalo, and
Ron Schmidt.
Nicole Jordan-Webber and
Karen Wacker co-executive produce.
Nicholson also stars in the upcoming drama
"The Riders" opposite
