Bugonia 2025 Movie Trailers Clips Images Posters

"Bugonia" is a satirical dark comedy directed by Yorgos Lanthimos ("Poor Things", "The Favourite") from a script by Will Tracy ("The Menu", "Succession") based on the 2003 South Korean film "Save the Green Planet!" by Jang Joon-hwan. The cast features Emma Stone, Jesse Plemons, Aidan Delbis, Stavros Halkias and Alicia Silverstone

The film premiered at the 2025 Venice International Film Festival where it was nominated for the Golden Lion (Best Film), and won the Green Drop Award. It opened in theaters on October 24, 2025.

Alicia Silverstone Joins Yorgos Lanthimos Movie Bugonia

Alicia Silverstone has joined the all-star cast of Yorgos Lanthimos' new film "Bugonia". The script is penned by Emmy winner Will Tracy ("Succession", "The Menu") based on the 2003 South Korean comedy "Save the Green Planet". Silverstone previously appeared in Lanthimos' 2017 psychological thriller "The Killing of a Sacred Deer".

The movie follows two conspiracy-obsessed young men who kidnap the high-powered CEO of a major company, convinced that she is an alien intent on destroying planet Earth. Details of Silverstone' role are being kept under wraps. The cast already includes Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons. The film, which is distributed domestically by Focus Features, will open in theaters on November 7, 2025. Universal is distributing internationally except for Korea, where CJ ENM will release.

"Bugonia" was developed by "Parasite" producing company CJ ENM with Ari Aster and Lars Knudsen at Square Peg. Lanthomis, Aster and Knudson are producing the project with Ed Guiney and Andrew Lowe from Element Pictures, alongside Stone via her banner Fruit Tree and Miky Lee and Jerry Kyoungboum Ko for CJ ENM. The production is financed by CJ ENM and Fremantle.

Silverstone is also set to star in Acorn TV's upcoming series "Irish Blood".

The film premiered at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, and was released in theaters on June 21, 2024 in the US.

Emma Stone in Talks to Star in Yorgos Lanthimos' SAVE THE GREEN PLANET Remake
Oscar winner Emma Stone ("La La Land", "Poor Things") is in talks to reunite with filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos for the remake of the 2003 South Korean fantasy comedy "Save the Green Planet". The original was directed by Jang Joon-hwan, who was previously attached to direct the remake.

The story follows a disillusioned young man who captures and tortures a businessman whom he believes to be part of an alien invasion. A battle of wits ensues between the captor, his devoted girlfriend, the businessman and a private detective. Stone's role will most likely be a supporting part.

With a script penned by Will Tracy ("Succession", "The Menu"), the remake, which has been in the works for several years, is expected to begin filming in the summer in the UK and New York.

Stone and Lanthimos previously worked together on "The Favorite" and recently "Poor Things", which earned Stone a BAFTA and Golden Globe, and could land her a second Academy Award. They will also collaborate on the anthology film "Kinds of Kindness", which also stars Jesse Plemons, Willem Dafoe and Margaret Qualley.

The film premiered at the 80th Venice International Film Festival where it won the Golden Lion. It was released in theaters on December 8, 2023.

"The Favourite" is a historical dramedy directed by Yorgos Lanthimos ("The Lobster") from a script by Deborah Davis and Tony McNamara ("The Rage in Placid Lake"). Set in 18th century England, the film follows the relationship between a frail Queen Anne (Olivia Colman), her close friend Lady Sarah (Rachel Weisz) who governs the country in her stead, and a new servant (Emma Stone) whose charm endears her to Sarah. Nicholas Hoult, Joe Alwyn, Mark Gatiss and James Smith co-star.

"The Favourite" premiered at this year's Venice International Film Festival where it won the Grand Jury Prize and the Volpi Cup for Best Actress (Colman). The film received a limited release in theaters in the U.S. on November 23, 2018.

Four new clips for the dystopian romantic dramedy "The Lobster" have been released online (one is unfortunately dubbed in Italian).

The film is starting a limited run in theaters in the U.S., and the critics loved it. Although the film's offbeat tone might not be for everyone, it's an ambitious and powerful story driven by a great cast and filled with Kafka-esque atmosphere and witty humor.

Co-written and directed by Yorgos Lanthimos ("Dogtooth"), the film stars Colin Farrell, Rachel Weisz, Léa Seydoux, Ben Whishaw, John C. Reilly, Olivia Colman and Michael Smiley.

Today we have the official trailers, images and posters for the romantic dramedy "The Lobster".

The film is set in a dystopian near future where single people are taken to The Hotel, an institution where they are given forty-five days to find true love, otherwise they are transformed into animals and sent off into The Woods.

Co-written and directed by Yorgos Lanthimos ("Dogtooth"), the film stars Colin Farrell, Rachel Weisz, Léa Seydoux, Ben Whishaw, John C. Reilly, Olivia Colman and Michael Smiley.

"The Lobster" will receive a limited release in the U.S. on May 13th.

Dheepan Cannes 2015 Winner

The 2015 Cannes Film Festival has come to a close and the winners of the prestigious awards have been revealed. The honor of the Palme d'Or was bestowed upon Jacques Audiard's "Dheepan", a crime drama that tells the story of a Sri Lankan Tamil freedom fighter who flees to France and ends up working as the caretaker of a run-down housing block in the suburbs. This year's jury was headed by Joel and Ethan Coen and featured Guillermo del Toro, Jake Gyllenhaal, Xavier Dolan, Sophie Marceau, Rossy de Palma, Rokia Traoré, and Sienna Miller.
