Apples 2020 New On Dvd And Bluray

Product Description: Amidst a worldwide pandemic that causes sudden amnesia, middle-aged Aris (Aris Servetalis) finds himself enrolled in a recovery program designed to help unclaimed patients build new identities. Prescribed daily tasks on cassette tapes so he can create new memories and document them on camera, Aris slides back into ordinary life, meeting Anna (Sofia Georgovasili), a woman who is also in recovery. Through images deadpan, strange and surreal, Greek writer-director Christos Nikou posits a beguiling reflection on memory, identity, and loss, exploring how a society might handle an irreversible epidemic through one man’s story of self-discovery. Are we the sum of the images we compile and display of ourselves, or are we something richer, and deeper?

dogtooth-2009-new-on-dvd-and-blu-ray

Product Description: Dogtooth (Cynodontians) is acclaimed director Yoro's Lanthimos’ (The Favorite, The Lobster, Alps) breakout success, an ingeniously frightening dark comedy that was an Academy Award Nominee for Best Foreign Film, and which won the Prix Un Certain Regard at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival. In an effort to protect their three children from the corrupting influence of the outside world, a Greek couple transforms their home into a gated compound of cultural deprivation and bizarre ritual. But children cannot remain innocent forever. When the father brings home a young woman to satisfy his son’s sexual urges, the family’s engineered reality begins to crumble, with devastating consequences. Dogtooth punctuates its compelling drama with moments of shocking violence, creating a biting social satire that is as profound as it is provocative.
