Jack Lowden Berlin Noir Series Adaptation

Emmy-nominated "Slow Horses" star Jack Lowden is set to star in an untitled series based on "Metropolis", the last book published in the "Berlin Noir" novels written by Philip Kerr. The author died from cancer in 2018.

The show is developed by Apple and will shoot in Berlin. BAFTA nominee Tom Shankland will direct and executive produce, while the adaptation is penned by Oscar winner Peter Straughan ("Conclave"). Straughan will also serve as showrunner and executive producer.

Set in 1928, the "Berlin Noir" book series revolves around iconic detective Bernie Gunther, a police officer newly promoted to the elite Berlin Murder Squad, who must investigate what seems to be a serial killer targeting victims on the fringes of society.

Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman are on board to executive produce through their Playtone banner. Playtone and Apple recently collaborated on the the World War II series "Masters of the Air". Jane Tranter, Dan McCulloch and Ryan Rasmussen are executive producing for Bad Wolf.

Lowden is currently filming Netflix's upcoming "Pride & Prejudice" series, and can next be seen in the fifth season of "Slow Horses", which premieres on September 24th.

Greatest Beer Run 2022 Movie Trailer Images Poster

"The Greatest Beer Run Ever" is biographical action comedy directed by Peter Farrelly ("Green Book") from a script he co-wrote alongside Brian Currie and Pete Jones based on the book of the same name by John "Chickie" Donohue and Joanna Molloy. The cast includes Zac Efron, Russell Crowe, Bill Murray, Jake Picking, Kyle Allen, Will Ropp and Archie Renaux. The film premiered on September 30, 2022 on Apple TV+.

Saoirse Ronan to Star in Steve McQueen's WWII Movie BLITZ
Four-time Oscar-nominated "Lady Bird" and "Little Women" actress Saoirse Ronan has signed on to star in Apple's World War II epic "Blitz", which is written, produced and directed by Steve McQueen ("12 Years a Slave", "Shame"). Apple beat the competition for rights to the film in June.

The film will tell the stories of a group of Londoners during the aerial bombing of the British capital during the war. Production is expected to begin later this year. Although her role has not been reveled, Ronan will star alongside an "unknown newcomer" that has yet to be revealed.

McQueen's production banner Lammas Park is producing alongside Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner of Working Title Films, and Arnon Milchan, Yariv Milchan and Michael Schaefer from New Regency, with independent producer Anita Overland. "Blitz" was developed and packaged by New Regency under McQueen's first-look deal. McQueen and New Regency previously worked together on the Best Picture Oscar winner "12 Years a Slave".

Ronan recently finished work on the Garth Davis movie "Foe", in which she stars opposite Paul Mescal, and is also set to star in the Scottish drama "The Outrun".

Tom Hiddleston To Star In Apple Limited Series THE WHITE DARKNESS
"Loki" star Tom Hiddleston has signed on to star in the Apple TV+ limited series "The White Darkness" based on David Grann's non-fiction book of the same name. The series hails from "Pachinko" creator Soo Hugh. Hugh and "Strange Angel" creator Mark Heyman will serve as showrunners.

The miniseries is inspired by the true life account of Henry Worsley, played by Hiddleston, a devoted husband and father, a former soldier, a man of deep honor and sacrifice, but also a man deeply obsessed with adventure, manifesting in an epic journey crossing Antarctica on foot.

Hugh will also serve as an executive producer alongside Theresa Kang-Lowe through her company Blue Marble Pictures, Caroline Garity of Blue Marble Pictures, which is currently in an overall deal with Apple TV+, and Heyman.

This is Hiddleston's second collaboration with Apple. He is also set to star in the streaming service's drama series "The Essex Serpent" based on the novel by Anna Symon. He will also appear in Netflix's upcoming limited series "White Stork".

Noomi Rapace Jonathan Banks Apple Series Constellation

Noomi Rapace and Jonathan Banks are set to star in Apple's new psychological thriller series "Constellation". The show has been given an eight episode order.

Rapace will star as Jo, a woman who returns to Earth after a disaster in space only to discover that key pieces of her life seem to be missing. The series is further described as a space adventure, an exploration of the dark edges of human psychology, and one woman's desperate quest to expose the truth about the hidden history of space travel and for her to recover all that she has lost.

Banks will play Henry, a Nobel Prize-winning physicist. The answers to his secret discovery are protected by Jo on the ISS… until she returns.

Peter Harness ("War of the Worlds", "Doctor Who", "Wallander") serves as writer and executive producer. Michelle MacLaren ("Shining Girls", "Breaking Bad", "The Walking Dead") will direct the first two episodes and executive produce.

Jason Momoa Picture

Jason Momoa ("Dune", "Game of Thrones") will star in, write and executive produce the upcoming Apple drama series "Chief of War". This is the second Apple series led by Momoa, alongside the post-apocalyptic show "See", which has been renewed for a third season.

The series follows the story of the unification and colonization of Hawaii from an indigenous point of view. Apple has given the show an eight-episode order.

Momoa and Thomas Pa'a Sibbett will co-write the script, and will both serve as executive producers. Doug Jung will serve as showrunner and executive producer. Justin Chon ("Blue Bayou", "Pachinko") is in talks to direct the first two episodes.

This is Momoa's first writing project for television. He previously co-wrote, directed and starred in the 2014 film "Road to Paloma". He also co-wrote the script for the upcoming film "The Last Manhunt" alongside Pa'a Sibbett. Pa'a Sibbett also co-wrote the 2018 film "Braven" in which Momoa starred.

SLOW HORSES Series Trailers, Clips, Featurettes, Images and Poster

"Slow Horses" is a spy thriller series directed by James Hawes from a script by Will Smith based on the novel of the same name by Mick Herron. The show follows a group of MI5 agents demoted to desk duty led by Jackson Lamb (Gary Oldman) who seek redemption. The cast also includes Jack Lowden, Kristin Scott Thomas, Jonathan Pryce, Olivia Cooke, Saskia Reeves and Dustin Demri-Burns. The first two episodes premiered on AppleTV+ on April 1, 2022.

Rachel Zegler Picture

"West Side Story" breakout star Rachel Zegler is set to voice the lead role in Apple and Skydance's new animated musical film "Spellbound". The film is directed by Vicky Jenson ("Shrek", "Shark Tale") from a script by Lauren Hynek ("Mulan") & Elizabeth Martin and Linda Woolverton.

Zegler will voice Ellian, a tenacious princess who must go on a daring quest to save her family and kingdom after a mysterious spell transforms her parents into monsters and threatens to cover Lumbria in darkness forever. Academy Award winner Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast", "Aladdin") will write the musical score, with song lyrics by Glenn Slater.

John Lasseter, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and David Lipman are producing for Skydance Animation. Paramount originally set the release date for "Spellbound" on November 11, 2022, but it's likely it will get pushed back now that it's developed by Apple.

Zegler will next star in Disney's live action remake "Snow White", and will also appear in DC Comics' "Shazam! Fury of the Gods" alongside Zachary Levi, Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu.

Michael Douglas To Star As Benjamin Franklin in Apple TV+ Limited Series
Michael Douglas is set to star in and executive produce Apple TV's upcoming limited series, which is based on the book "A Great Improvisation: Franklin, France, and the Birth of America" by Pulitzer Prize winner Stacy Schiff.

According to the logline, the drama will "explore the thrilling story of one of the greatest gambles of Benjamin Franklin’s career. At age 70, without any diplomatic training, Franklin convinced France – an absolute monarchy – to underwrite America’s experiment in democracy. By virtue of his fame, charisma, and ingenuity, Franklin outmaneuvered British spies, French informers, and hostile colleagues, all while engineering the Franco-American alliance of 1778 and the final peace with England of l783. The eight-year French mission stands as Franklin’s most vital service to his country, without which America would not have won the Revolution."

The miniseries will be written and executive produced by Kirk Ellis ("John Adams", "Sons of Liberty"), and directed by Tim Van Patten ("Game of Thrones", "Boardwalk Empire"). The series is a co-production of ITV Studios America and Apple Studios.

Douglas previously voiced Franklin in the PBS documentary series "Freedom: A History of the US". He also attached to play President Ronald Reagan in Paramount's limited series "Reagan & Gorbachev".

Emmy Rossum Joins Tom Holland and Amanda Seyfried in Apple TV+ serie
Emmy Rossum ("Shameless") is set to star in Apple's upcoming anthology series "The Crowded Room" which hails from "A Beautiful Mind" writer Akiva Goldsman. Each season of the show will explore inspirational stories of those who have struggled with mental illness and learned to live successfully with it. The first season is based in part on Goldsman's own life and inspired by Daniel Keyes' biography "The Minds of Billy Milligan". Goldsman wrote and executive produces the series.

Holland will star as the lead, Danny Sullivan, loosely based on Milligan, who was the first person acquitted of a crime because of multiple-personality disorder, now known as dissociative identity disorder. Rossum will play Candy, Danny's mother. Through their struggles in life, she dreams of salvation in the form of someone else. Seyfried plays Rya, a clinical psychologist faced with the most challenging case of her career.

Also joining the cast are Sasha Lane, Christopher Abbott, and Emma Laird. Lane will play Danny's best friend Ariana, who is also dealing with unresolved traumas from her past. Laird will play Isabel, a longtime friend of Danny's. And Abott joins the cast as Stan, Danny's attorney, who struggles with his own demons following his time in the Vietnam War.

Rossum will next star in Peacock's upcoming limited series "Angelyne".

Rooney Mara to Play Audrey Hepburn in Biopic Directed by Luca Guadagnino
Oscar-nominated actress Rooney Mara ("Carol", "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo") will play iconic actress Audrey Hepburn in an upcoming Apple biopic directed by Oscar-nominated helmer Luca Guadagnino ("Call Me By Your Name") from a script by Michael Mitnick ("The Giver", "The Staggering Girl", "The Current War").

Plot details are being kept under wraps. Belgium-born British actress Hepburn starred in iconic films such as "Breakfast at Tiffany’s", "My Fair Lady", "Funny Face", "Sabrina" and "Roman Holiday". She received a total of five Academy Award nominations for Best Actress, and won in 1953 for "Roman Holiday". During her four-decade career, Hepburn achieved EGOT status, winning Emmy, Oscar, Tony and Grammy awards, the last of which she received posthumously. She was also a noted fashion icon, being the muse of French designer Hubert de Givenchy, and devoted a great deal of her life to charitable work. In 1993 she received the AMPAS' Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award.

Mara is also producing alongside Mitnick. Her upcoming projects include Sarah Polley's "Women Talking", in which she stars opposite Frances McDormand, Ben Whishaw, Claire Foy and Jessie Buckley.

Ana de Armas picture

Ana de Armas ("No Time to Die", "Knives Out") is set to join the cast of Apple Original Films' "Ghosted" directed by Dexter Fletcher ("Rocketman") from a script by "Deadpool" scribes Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. She will reteam with her "Knives Out" co-star Chris Evans. Johansson had to drop out due to a scheduling conflict.

The film has been described as a high concept romantic action adventure. Apple acquired the project over the summer and intends to get it into production by February, which is why Johansson had to exit.

Producers include Skydance's David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger, Jules Daly and Evans, while de Armas will also serve as an executive producer.

De Armas recently starred with Evans and Ryan Gosling in Netflix's "The Gray Man" directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, and is also in talks to play the lead in the John Wick spinoff "Ballerina".

Scarlett Johansson Chris Evans Romantic Adventure Ghosted

MCU alums Scarlett Johansson and Chris Evans are in advanced negotiations to join Apple's upcoming romantic action adventure movie "Ghosted". The film will be directed by "Rocketman" and "Eddie the Eagle" helmer Dexter Fletcher from a script by Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, the writers of "Deadpool" and "Zombieland".

This becomes the latest deal for David Ellison's Skydance, which is coming off the Chris Pratt-starrer "The Tomorrow War", which moved from Paramount to Amazon Prime Video for an incredible $200 million, the Michael B. Jordan-starrer "Without Remorse" (also Amazon Prime), and just last week set Victoria Mahoney to direct the Netflix sequel "Old Guard 2".

Johansson and Evans last starred together in "Avengers: Endgame" as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow and Steve Rodgers/Captain America. Johansson has since played the character one more time in this year's "Black Widow". The actors also co-starred in the 2004 teen comedy "The Perfect Score", and the 2007 rom-com "The Nanny Diaries".

This is the latest deal for Johansson since her attorneys filed a lawsuit against Disney over the studio's decision to day-and-date release "Black Widow" for premium purchase on Disney+.

Samuel L. Jackson To Star In Apple Limited Series THE LAST DAYS OF PTOLEMY GREY
Samuel L. Jackson will star in Apple's upcoming six-episode miniseries "The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey", which is based on the novel of the same name by Walter Mosley. Mosley will adapt the book for the screen.

The limited series tells the story of Ptolemy Grey (Jackson), a 91 year old man forgotten by his family, by his friends, by even himself. On the brink of sinking even deeper into a lonely dementia, Ptolemy experiences a seismic shift when he's given the tremendous opportunity to briefly regain his memories, and uses this precious and fleeting lucidity to solve his nephew's death and come to terms with his past.

Jackson and Mosley will also executive produce alongside David Levine, Eli Selden and Diane Houslin. This will be the second collaboration between Apple TV+ and Jackson following the 2020 film "The Banker".

Jackson is also set to reprise his role as Nick Fury in the Marvel/Disney+ limited series based on the "Secret Invasion" comics opposite Ben Mendelsohn. He's also attached to star in the sequel "The Hitman Wife's Bodyguard", "The Asset", "Spiral" and will voice the animated film "Blazing Samurai".
