Saoirse Ronan Beatles Movie Linda Mccartney

Oscar nominee Saoirse Ronan ("Little Women", "Lady Bird") has joined the cast of Sam Mendes' upcoming four-part "Beatles" biopic. She will be playing Linda McCartney, the wife of Sir Paul. The cast also includes Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Harrison Dickinson as John Lennon, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison and Barry Keoghan will play Ringo Starr.

It was also reported that Anna Sawai ("Shogun") and Aimee Lou Wood ("The White Lotus") are circling the role of Yoko Ono and Pattie Boyd, but nothing has been officially confirmed. Ono, an artist and singer-songwriter, is the widow of John Lennon and one of his biggest creative influences. Boyd, a model, met George Harrison when she was 19 on the set of the Beatles 1964 film "A Hard Day's Night", and the two married in 1966.

The story of the iconic group will be told across four separate movies, one from each Beatles member's point of view as Mendes chronicles the band's improbable journey from Liverpool to the center of global culture, all the way to their 1970 breakup. McCartney, Starr, and the families of the late Lennon and Harrison have granted full life story and music rights for the scripted films, making these the first features sanctioned by the band.

All four installments be rekeased in theaters in April 2028. Sony Pictures claims that it will be the "first binge-able theatrical experience". The exact release schedule was not announced.
