Maisy Stella And Tatum Grace Hopkins To Lead Life Is Strange Tv Adaptation

Maisy Stella and Tatum Grace Hopkins have signed on to star in Amazon's upcoming small screen adaptation of the video game "Life is Strange". Stella and Hopkins will star as the two leads, Chloe and Max, respectively. The show will be written by Charlie Covell, who also serves as executive producer and showrunner. Dmitri M. Johnson, Michael Lawrence Goldberg, and Timothy I. Stevenson will executive produce under their Story Kitchen banner. The series hails from Square Enix, Story Kitchen, and LuckyChap, with Amazon MGM Studios producing.

Here is the official synopsis: "Max (Hopkins) is a photography student, who discovers she can rewind time while saving the life of her childhood best friend, Chloe (Stella). As she struggles to understand this new skill, the pair investigate the mysterious disappearance of a fellow student, uncovering a dark side to their town that will ultimately force them to make an impossible life or death choice that will impact them forever".

The latest game in the franchise, "Life is Strange: Reunion", which will be the conclusion of Chloe and Max’s story, will be released on March 26, 2026 on Xbox Series X|S and PC. The series also includes the original 2015 game, the 2017 prequel titled "Life is Strange: Before the Storm", two standalone games "Life is Strange 2" and "Life is Strange: True Colors", and a sequel "Life is Strange: Double Exposure" that once again focused on Max. The games were developed by Don't Nod Entertainment and later Deck Nine with Square Enix serving as publisher.

Hopkins will be making her television debut, as she has primarily worked on the stage up until now. She starred in the Broadway productions "The Queen of Versailles" and "For the Girls", as well as the 2024 short film "Meek".

Stella is an accomplished musician, and previously starred in the hit ABC music drama "Nashville" in which she played Daphne Conrad for the show's entire six season run. She made her film debut in the critically-acclaimed feature "My Old Ass" opposite Aubrey Plaza in 2024, which earned Stella an Independent Spirit Award. She also starred in the comedy "Poetic License", and can next be seen later this year in "Flowervale Street" alongside Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor.
