Golden Globes 2024 Winners Oppenheimer

The winners of the 81st Golden Globe Awards were revealed on Sunday. "Oppenheimer" was the big winner with five awards out of eight nominations, including Best Picture (Drama). "Barbie", which went in with the most nominations (9), ended up with only two awards for Best Original Song and the newly created Cinematic and Box Office Achievement award. "Poor Things" was the big winner in the Comedy categories, taking home Best Picture and Actress (Emma Stone).

In the television categories, "Succession" won four prizes, including Best Drama Series for its final season. "The Bear" scored three wins including Best Comedy Series and Leading Actor. The Limited Series award went to "Beef", which also nabbed wins for leading actors Ali Wong and Steven Yeun.

Sunday's ceremony was broadcast on CBS, a new home for the telecast, which had aired on NBC since 1996.

Golden Globes 2024 Nominations Complete List

The nominations for the 2024 Golden Globe awards have been announced. Greta Gerwig's "Barbie" has received 10 nominations, becoming the second most-nominated movie in the 81-year history of the show, tying it with "Cabaret". Christopher Nolan's "Oppenheimer" also received eight nominations, while Martin Scorsese's "Killers of the Flower Moon" scored seven nods.

In the television categories, "Succession" leads with nine nominations for its final season, while "The Bear" and "Only Murders in the Building" scored five nods apiece.

This year, the Globes introduced two new awards categories to celebrate box office achievements and stand-up comedy performances. The former sees films like "Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour", "John Wick: Chapter 4" and "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3" nominated, while the latter includes nods for Trevor Noah, Amy Schumer and Ricky Gervais.

The ceremony will take place on January 7th, and will be broadcast live on CBS. The ceremony will also stream on Paramount+ and the CBS app.
