"Bodied" is a Battle Rap satirical comedy directed by music video helmer Joseph Kahn from a script by Alex Larsen, and produced by Eminem, his manager Paul Rosenberg and Adi Shankar ("The Punisher: Dirty Laundry", Netflix's "Castlevania").
The film stars Calum Worthy as a progressive graduate student who finds success and sparks outrage when his interest in battle rap as a thesis subject becomes a competitive obsession. Jackie Long, Rory Uphold, Dumbfoundead, Walter Perez, Charlamagne tha God, Dizaster, Hollow da Don, Debra Wilson and Anthony Michael Hall co-star.
"Bodied" premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, where it won the festival's People's Choice Award: Midnight Madness, and it also won the Audience Awards at last year's Fantastic Fest and AFI Fest. It received a limited release in theaters on November 2, 2018, and streaming rights have been secured by YouTube Red. The film has received mostly positive reviews from critics.
