Alycia Debnam-Carey Joins GODZILLA X KONG Sequel

Australian actress Alycia Debnam-Carey ("Apple Cider Vinegar, "Fear the Walking Dead") has joined the cast of Legendary's upcoming "Godzilla X Kong" sequel, which has yet to be titled. The film is directed by Grant Sputore ("I Am Mother"), taking over from the previous two films' helmer Adam Wingard, from a script by Dave Callaham ("Shang Chi").

Debnam-Carey's role is unknwon at this time, but she will be one of several new human characters who will join the titular Titans as they face off against a cataclysmic world-ending threat. The actress is reunited with "Apple Cider Vinegar" co-star Kaitlyn Dever. The cast also includes Jack O'Connell, Matthew Modine, Delroy Lindo and Dan Stevens. The latter reprises his role as veterinarian Trapper Beasley from last year's "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire". The film was the highest-grossing installment in the franchise, so far.

Launched with "Godzilla" in 2014, Legendary's Monsterverse cinematic universe also includes "Kong: Skull Island", "Godzilla: King of the Monsters" and "Godzilla vs. Kong", as well as Netflix's animated spin-off "Skull Island" and the Apple TV+ series "Monarch: Legacy of Monsters". All the theatrically released films have grossed a total of over $2.5 billion worldwide.

"Apple Cider Vinegar" is a drama miniseries created by Samantha Strauss based on the nonfiction book "The Woman Who Fooled the World" by Beau Donelly and Nick Toscano. The cast includes Kaitlyn Dever, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Aisha Dee, Tilda Cobham-Hervey, Mark Coles Smith, Ashley Zukerman, Susie Porter, Matt Nable, Catherine McClements and Essie Davis. The limited series premiered on February 6, 2025 on Netflix.
