"Scarpetta" is a new mystery crime drama series created by Elizabeth Sarnoff based on the book series of the same name by Patricia Cornwell. The show stars Nicole Kidman in the lead role as Dr. Kay Scarpetta, a brilliant forensic pathologist, inspired by former Virginia Chief Medical Examiner Marcella Farinelli Fierro, who employs advanced forensic technology to unravel mysteries and solve crimes.

The cast also includes Jamie Lee Curtis, Amanda Righetti, Bobby Cannavale, Simon Baker and Ariana DeBose. The series premiered on March 11, 2026 on Amazon Prime Video.
