The fifth season of the medical drama "The Resident" has premiered on September 21, 2021 on Fox. Created by Amy Holden Jones, Hayley Schore and Roshan Sethi, based on the book "Unaccountable" by Marty Makary, the show stars Matt Czuchry, Manish Dayal, Bruce Greenwood, Morris Chestnut, Anuja Joshi and Miles Fowler.
