"Happyend" is a Japanese sci-fi drama written and directed by Neo Sora. Set in a near-future Tokyo, as the threat of a catastrophic earthquake looms, two friends prank their principal before graduation, which leads to an opressive surveillance system being installed in their school. The cast includes Hayato Kurihara, Yukito Hidaka, Yuta Hayashi, Shina Peng, Arazi, Kilala Inori and Pushim.
The film premiered at the 2024 Venice International Film Festival, where it was nominated for the Horizons Award. It opened in theaters in Japan on October 4, 2024, and in the US on September 12, 2025. On January 2, 2026, it was released on digital platforms.
