The sixth and final season of the political drama series "Madam Secretary" has premiered on October 6, 2019 on CBS. Created by Barbara Hall, the show stars Tea Leoni as Elizabeth "Bess" Adams McCord, an ex-CIA analyst who becomes the United States Secretary of State. The new season picks up two years after season five's finale with Elizabeth in the White House. The cast also includes Tim Daly, Patina miller, Geoffrey Arend, Erich Bergen, Željko Ivanek, Keith Carradine and Bebe Neuwirth.
