"Mean Girls" is a musical teen comedy directed by Samantha Jayne and Arturo Perez Jr. in their feature film directorial debut from a script by Tina Fey based on the Broadway musical of the same name adapted from the 2004 comedy that was in turn based on the 2002 book "Queen Bees and Wannabees" by Rosalind Wiseman. The cast includes Angourie Rice, Reneé Rapp, Auliʻi Cravalho, Jaquel Spivey, Avantika, Bebe Wood, Christopher Briney, Jenna Fischer, Busy Philipps, Tina Fey and Tim Meadows. The film opened in theaters on January 12, 2024.
