"Maigret" is a new crime drama series based on the Chief Inspector Jules Maigret novels by Georges Simenon, and the first contemporary television adaptation. The show stars Benjamin Wainwright ("Belgravia: The Next Chapter", "Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim") in the titular role, alongside Stefanie Martini ("The Gold"), Blake Harrison ("World on Fire", "I Hate Suzie Too"), Reda Elazouar ("Sex Education"), Kerrie Hayes ("The Responder"), Shaniqua Okwok ("The Flatshare"), Rob Kazinsky ("Star Trek: Section 31") and Nathalie Armin ("Showtrial"). The series premiered on October 5, 2025 on PBS Masterpiece.
