The fifth season of the drama series "Billions" has premiered on May 3, 2020 on Showtime. Created by Brian Koppelman, David Levien, and Andrew Ross Sorkin, the show is loosely based on the activities of Preet Bharara, the former U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York and his legal battles with hedge fund manager Steve Cohen of S.A.C. Capital Advisors.
In the new season, Bobby (Damian Lewis) and Chuck (Paul Giamatti) are at odds again with the arrival of new adversaries including businessman Mike Prince (Corey Stoll) and a new district attorney. The series also stars Maggie Siff, Toby Leonard Moore, David Costabile, Condola Rashad, Asia Kate Dillon, Jeffrey DeMunn, Samantha Mathis and Kelly AuCoin.
