Product Description: Boy Erased tells the courageous story of Jared Eamons (Lucas Hedges), the son of a Baptist pastor in a small American town, who must overcome the fallout of being outed to his parents (Nicole Kidman and Russell Crowe). His parents struggle with reconciling their love for their son with their beliefs. Fearing a loss of family, friends, and community, Jared is pressured into attending a conversion therapy program. While there, Jared comes into conflict with its leader (Joel Edgerton) and begins his journey to finding his own voice and accepting his true self.

BOY ERASED Trailers, Clips, Featurettes, Images and Poster

Written and directed by Joel Edgerton, the coming-of-age drama "Boy Erased" is based on the 2016 memoir of the same name by Garrard Conley. The film stars Lucas Hedges as Jared Eamons, the son of a Baptist preacher who is forced to attend a church-supported gay conversion therapy program after being forcibly outed to his parents. Troye Sivan, Emily Hinkler, Madelyn Cline and David Joseph Craig co-star.

"Boy Erased" premiered at the Telluride Film Festival, followed by an international premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. It received a limited release in theaters on November 2, 2018. The film has received mostly positive reviews from critics.

In Theaters: BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY, THE NUTCRACKER AND THE FOUR REALMS, NOBODY'S FOOL, BOY ERASED and BODIED

The Queen biopic "Bohemian Rhapsody" is rocking theaters this weekend, and while the critical reception has been lukewarm, 20th Century Fox is anticipating a $30+ million debut from 4,000 theaters. For the kids we have Disney's "The Nutcracker and the Four Realms", which has received a thrashing from critics. Also out now in theaters is Tyler Perry's new dramedy "Nobody's Fool" starring Tiffany Haddish, but it hasn't been screened for critics, so it's probably not very good. Films worth checking out in limited release are Joel Edgerton's gay conversion therapy drama "Boy Erased" starring Lucas Hedges, Nicole Kidman and Russell Crowe, and the rap battle comedy "Bodied" produced by Eminem".
