"The Tax Collector" is an action thriller written, directed and produced by David Ayer ("Suicide Squad", "End of Watch").
The film follows a tax collector (Bobby Soto) working for a local crime lord who finds his family's safety compromised when the rival of his boss shows up in L.A. and upends the business. Shia LaBeouf, Jimmy Smits, George Lopez, Cinthya Carmona, Lana Parrilla and Cheyenne Hernandez co-star.
"The Tax Collector" was released in select theaters and on VOD on August 7, 2020. The film topped both VOD and box-office charts in its first weekend, grossing $317,000 from 129 theaters, and $1 million from VOD sales.
