The horror film "Annabelle Comes Home" is the seventh installment in "The Conjuring" franchise, and the second sequel to the "Annabelle" spinoff series. The film is written and directed by Gary Dauberman in his directorial debut. Dauberman also wrote the script for the Conjurverse movie "The Nun" and the Stephen King adaptations "It" and "It: Chapter Two".
The film is set in 1968 and it follows demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren (Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga reprise their roles) who bring the possessed doll to the locked artifacts room in their home, which proves to be a mistake as Annabelle awakens the evil spirits in the room, who target the Warrens' ten-year-old daughter, Judy (McKenna Grace), and her friends. Steve Coulter, Madison Iseman, Katie Sarife and Michael Cimino co-star.
"Annabelle Comes Home" opened in theaters on June 26, 2019 and received mixed reviews from critics.
