"Stargate Origins" is a new streaming-only series based on the sci-fi franchise that started with Dean Devlin and Roland Emmerich's 1994 film "Stargate" and the spin-off series "Stargate SG-1" that ran from 1997 until 2007.
The new show will consist of 10 episodes of 10 minutes each, basically a serialized full-length film, and will focus on the adventures of a young Catherine Langford (Ellie Gall), the daughter of Professor Langford (played by "Stargate Atlantis" actor Connor Trinneer), as she tries to unlock the mystery of what lies beyond the Stargate in order to save the Earth from darkness.
Directed by Mercedes Bryce Morgan and written by Mark Ilvedson and Justin Michael Terry, the series also stars Philip Alexander, Shvan Aladdin, Salome Azizi, Michelle Jubilee Gonzalez, Daniel Rashid, Sarah Navratil, Tonatiuh Elizarraraz, Derek Chariton, Lincoln Werner Hoppe, and Aylam Orian.
"Stargate Origins" premiered the first three episodes today, February 15, 2018, on MGM's "Stargate Command" subscription service. Check out the official website for more details and announcements.
