equals-2016-new-on-dvd-and-blu-ray

Product Description: In this gripping and emotional sci-fi romance from acclaimed director Drake Doremus (Like Crazy), Kristen Stewart and Nicholas Hoult play Nia and Silas, two people who work together in a futuristic society known as “The Collective.” A seemingly utopian world, “The Collective” has ended crime and violence by genetically eliminating all human emotions. Despite this, Nia and Silas can’t help noticing a growing attraction between them, leading them to a forbidden relationship — at first tentative, but then exploding into a passionate romance. As suspicion begins to mount among their superiors, the couple will be forced to choose between going back to the safety of the lives they have always known, or risking it all to try and pull off a daring escape.

in-theaters-ghostbusters-the-infiltrator-cafe-society-equals

This week in theaters it's time to kick some ghost butt with the all-new, all-female "Ghostbusters". Plenty of fan hate for this one, but critics seemed to genuinely like it. If fantasy isn't your thing, then you might enjoy the true story thriller "The Infiltrator" starring Bryan Cranston. In limited release we have Woody Allen's new film "Cafe Society" and the dystopian romance "Equals" starring Kristen Stewart and Nicholas Hoult. More about each movie after the jump.

equals-2016-movie-clips-images

The romantic sci-fi drama "Equals" has opened in limited release, but the critical reception has been mixed to negative. Apparently it's a classic case of style over substance. The film's futuristic aesthetic does offer plenty to look at, and the lead actors make the romance work, but the story falls short of its ambitions and the film ends up being a boring experience.

Directed by Drake Doremus ("Like Crazy"), the film stars Kristen Stewart, Nicholas Hoult, Guy Pearce, Bel Powley, Jacki Weaver and Aurora Perrineau.

equals-2016-teaser-trailer-images-and-poster

The teaser trailer for the sci-fi drama "Equals" has been released along with some hi-res images and the first poster.

Directed by Drake Doremus ("Like Crazy") from a script by Nathan Parker ("Moon"), the film is a futuristic love story set in a world where emotions have been eradicated and it stars Kristen Stewart and Nicholas Hoult as two members of this bland society who discover love and challenge the status quo. The song used in the trailer is Chromatics' "Kill For Love (Running From The Sun Version)". Guy Pearce, Bel Powley, Jacki Weaver and Aurora Perrineau co-star.

The film doesn't have an official release date.
