The Broken Lizard comedy team is back in the sequel "Super Troopers 2". Co-written and directed by Jay Chandrasekhar, the film follows the original's crew of five wacky state troopers as they are tasked with setting up a new highway patrol station in a disputed area following an international border disagreement between the US and Canada.
The cast features Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter, Erick Stolhanske, Marisa Coughlan, Brian Cox, Damon Wayans Jr., Lynda Carter, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Rob Lowe, Clifton Collins Jr. and Seann William Scott.
The film was funded through an indiegogo crowdfunding campaign that launched on March 24, 2015 and raised $2 million in just 26 hours. The campaign ended on April 24th with a total of $4.4 million.
"Super Troopers 2" opens in theaters on April 20, 2018. The critical reception for the film has been mostly mixed to negative.
