The Italian martial arts action film "The Forbidden City" ("La Citta Proibita") directed by Gabriele Mainetti ("They Call Me Jeeg Robot", "Freaks Out") from a script co-written by Mainetti, Stefano Bises and Davide Serino. The cast features Yaxi Liu, Enrico Borello, Marco Giallini, Sabrina Ferilli, Shanshan Chunyu, Luca Zingaretti and Haijin Ye. The film was released on March 13, 2025 in Italy. On March 16, 2026, it was released on digital platforms.
