"Gals Can't Be Kind to Otaku!?" is a new anime series based on the Japanese manga series written by Norishiro-chan and illustrated by Sakana Uozumi. The anime is directed by Shin Mita at TMS Entertainment 6th Floor Studio, with series composition by Kazuhiko Inukai, character designs and chief animation direction by Lion Matsuda and music by Wataru Sato.
The opening theme song is "Hide and Seek" performed by I-dle, while sunsoogirl performs the ending theme song "Isho Nakako". The voice cast includes Sho Komura, Konomi Inagaki, Yu Serizawa, Jun Kasama, Konomi Kohara, Atsumi Tanezaki and Emiri Kato.
"Gals Can't Be Kind to Otaku!?" premiered on April 8, 2026 and also streams on Crunchyroll.
