"Wonder" is a drama directed by "Beauty and the Beast" screenwriter Stephen Chbosky from a script written by Chbosky, Steve Conrad ("The Pursuit of Happyness") and Jack Thorne ("A Long Way Down") based on the novel of the same name written by R.J. Palacio.
The film stars Jacob Tremblay as August "Auggie" Pullman, a young boy with Treacher Collins syndrome, who struggles to fit in at a new school. The cast also features Owen Wilson, Julia Roberts, Izabela Vidovic, Mandy Patinkin, Daveed Diggs, Elle McKinnon and Noah Jupe.
"Wonder" opened in theaters on November 17th, 2017 and received generally positive reviews from critics, who were charmed by the film and praised its cast and earnest drama that is sentimental but never gratuitous. The film also performed surprisingly well at the box-office, opening with $27.1 million and placing second behind the "Justice League" movie.
