Created by Eric Amadio, John Singleton and Dave Andron, the series chronicles the early days of the crack cocaine epidemic in Los Angeles. The second season is set in 1984 and it follows Franklin Saint (Damson Idris), Teddy McDonald (Carter Hudson), Gustavo "El Oso" Zapata (Sergio Peris-Mencheta) and Lucia Villanueva (Emily Rios) as their lives intersect and overlap within the mosaic of Los Angeles.

The first season of "Snowfall" consists of 10 episodes. The series premieres tonight (July 5th, 2017) on FX at 10p.

The new crime drama series "Rebel" premieres tonigh on BET at 9p. Created by John Singleton ("Boyz n the Hood"), the show stars Danielle Moné Truitt as an Oakland police officer who begins working as a private investigator after her brother is killed in a racially motivated police shooting. Giancarlo Esposito, Mykelti Williamson, Angela Ko, Method Man, Brandon Quinn and LaTanya Richardson also star.

It's a good time for Lautner to start shredding his Twilight image and find new directions, and what better way to do that than starring in a John Singleton movie that also stars Sigourney Weaver, Maria Bello, Dermot Mulroney and Alfred Molina.
