The film is written and directed by "Pitch Perfect" writer Kay Cannon, and it stars Camila Cabello, Idina Menzel, Minnie Driver, Nicholas Galitzine, Billy Porter, and Pierce Brosnan. "Cinderella" was released on September 3, 2021 via Amazon Prime Video

Idina Menzel in Talks to Join Camila Cabello's CINDERELLA

Tony and Grammy winner Idina Menzel is in talks to join Sony's musical version of "Cinderella". Written and directed by Kay Cannon ("Pitch Perfect"), it will be produced by James Corden, who also came up with the original idea for the film.

If negotiations go through, Menzel will star as the evil stepmother, also known as Lady Tremaine. Pop star Camila Cabello will play the lead role, and will also write original music for the film. "Pose" Emmy winner Billy Porter is also in talks for the role of the fairy godmother.

"Cinderella" is set to shoot in London in February next year, and it will open in theaters on February 5, 2021.

Menzel has finished work on "Frozen 2", in which she returns to voice Elsa, and can also be seen this year in the R-rated crime dramedy "Uncut Gems" opposite Adam Sandler

Camila Cabello to Make Feature Acting Debut in Reimagined CINDERELLA Movie

Grammy-nominated 22-year-old singer-songwriter Camila Cabello is set to make her feature acting debut in an upcoming reimagining of "Cinderella". The film will be produced by James Corden and directed by "Pitch Perfect" trilogy writer Kay Cannon ("Blockers") for Sony's Columbia label.

The film has been described as "as a modern reimagining of the traditional tale of the orphaned girl with an evil stepmother, with a musical bent thrown in for good measure". Cabello will not only star, but she's going to be involved with the music for the film, as well. Corden himself came up with the original idea for the modern twist on the classic fairytale, but story details are being kept under wraps. Sony is putting the project on the fast-track for production.

Cabello, formerly a member of the girl group Fifth Harmony before going solo in 2016, is one of music's fastest rising stars and her first LP has reached number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 album chart. Although this is her feature acting debut, she has appeared on TV in "King Of The Golden Sun".

"Blockers" (originally titled "The Pact"), is a teen sex comedy directed by "Pitch Perfect" scribe Kay Cannon from a script written by Brian & Jim Kehoe, Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg and Eben Russell, and produced by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.

The film stars Leslie Mann, Ike Barinholtz and John Cena as three overprotective parents who learn of a pact made by their teenage daughters (Kathryn Newton, Geraldine Viswanathan and Gideon Adlon) to lose their virginity at prom, so they decide to launch a covert one-night operation to stop the teens from sealing the deal. The cast also includes Graham Phillips, Miles Robbins, Gina Gershon, Gary Cole, Hannibal Buress and Ramona Young.

"Blockers" premiered at South by Southwest on March 10, 2018 and opened in theaters on April 6, 2018. The film received mostly positive reviews from critics and opened in third place at the box-office with $20.5 million.

"Pitch Perfect 3" is a new sequel and the final installment in the franchise written by Kay Cannon and produced by Elizabeth Banks. The film finds the Bellas adjusting to life after college, working jobs they hate since there are no a capella job prospects in the real world. They decide to reunite for one last singing competition at an overseas USO tour.

The film stars Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Brittany Snow, Anna Camp, Hailee Steinfeld, Hana Mae Lee, Chrissie Fit, John Lithgow, Ruby Rose, Elizabeth Banks and John Michael Higgins.

"Pitch Perfect 3" opened in theaters on December 22, 2017 and received mixed to negative reviews from critics. The film opened with $19.9 million at the box-office and went on to gross $96.2 million domestically and another $68.3 million overseas against a $45 million production budget.

GIRLBOSS Netflix Series Trailers, Featurette, Images and Poster

Inspired by the autobiography of the same name written by Nasty Gal founder Sophia Amoruso, the new Netflix comedy series "Girlboss" tells the story of Sophia (Britt Robertson), an anarchist misfit, who discovers a passion for fashion, becoming an unlikely businesswoman in the process.

Created by "Pitch Perfect" writer Kay Cannon and executive-produced by Charlize Theron, the show also stars Ellie Reed, Josh Couch, Alphonso McAuley and Johnny Simmons.

The entire first season of "Girlboss" is now available via Netflix.
