"UglyDolls" is the first computer animated film from STX Entertainment. Directed by Kelly Asbury ("Shrek 2") from a screenplay by Alison Peck and story by Robert Rodriguez ("Sin City"), the film is based on the series of plush toys created by David Horvath and Sun-Min Kim, and it tells the story of the free-spirited UglyDolls, who are confronted with what it means to be different, struggle with a desire to be loved, and ultimately discover who you truly are is what matters most.

The voice cast features Kelly Clarkson, Nick Jonas, Janelle Monae, Pitbull, Emma Roberts, Gabriel Iglesias, Wanda Sykes, Ice-T, Jane Lynch and Blake Shelton.

"UglyDolls" opened in theaters on May 3, 2019 and received mostly negative reviews from critics.

Sony's "Smurfs: The Lost Village" is a 3D CG animation feature, the first in the studio's Smurfs franchise as previous films combined CGI with live-action. The reboot based on Peyo's comics follows the little blue heroes as they race through the Forbidden Forest to uncover the biggest secret in Smurf history, a mysterious lost village.

Directed by Kelly Asbury ("Shrek 2"), the film features the voices of Demi Lovato, Rainn Wilson, Joe Manganiello, Jack McBrayer, Ariel Winter, Ellie Kemper, Julia Roberts, Mandy Patinkin, Danny Pudi and Meghan Trainor.

"Smurfs: The Lost Village" opened in theaters on April 7th 2017 and received mixed to negative reviews from critics. The film is expected to finish its opening weekend at the box-office with around $20 million.

"Smurfs: The Lost Village" opens in theaters on April 7, 2017.
