New on Blu-ray: THE STEWARDESSES 3D (1969) - Kino Cult #45

BUY FROM AMAZON

Product Description: A groovy time capsule from a more permissive era, the camp classic The Stewardesses follows a flock of friendly flight attendants who spend their layovers engaging in casual sexual encounters and popular amusements (including hallucinogenic drugs and a psychedelic haunted hause). But the life of the stewardess is not without its pitfalls, and the free-spirited women must eventually face the moral consequences of their high-flying lifestyles. Due to the novelty of it being filmed in 3-D, The Stewardesses was a staple on the midnight movie circuit for years, and was the highest-grossing 3-D film prior to the release of Avatar! The Stewardesses is restored by the 3-D Film Archive LLC, and all 3-D content of this release is presented in both stereoscopic and anaglyph formats.

Product Description: Among the most elusive gems of 1960s Eurohorror, Frankenstein’s Bloody Terror (La marca del Hombre Lobo) is a modern gothic 3-D monster mash written and directed by Paul Naschy (The Werewolf Versus the Vampire Woman). Waldemar Daninsky(Naschy) suffers the bite of a werewolf and seeks the aid of a pair of occultists to rid himself of the curse. Newly mastered in 4K from 35mm elements of the U.S. release cut of the film (compromised by decomposition), this Kino Cult edition has been meticulously restored by the 3-D Film Archive and is presented in both the stereoscopic (3-D player and monitor required) and anaglyph versions (one pair of red/green glasses provided).

BUY FROM AMAZON

Product Description: Experience the golden age of burlesque in this titillating triple feature of 1950s grindhouse classics, newly restored from the original negatives. Pinup goddess Betty Page shares the screen with striptease legend Tempest Storm in the holy grails of full-color burlesque films: Varietease (1954) and Teaserama (1955). Directed by girlie-pix impresario Irving Klaw, the dance card includes performances by strip queens Lili St. Cyr, tantalizing Trudy Wayne, and “female impersonator” Vickie Lynn, interspersed with obligatory appearances by baggy-pants comics and sunny songsters. Concluding the trilogy is Klaw’s Buxom Beautease (1956), which incorporates the short color film Striptease Revealed, and features incendiary performances by Blaze Starr and Dorian Dennis. Working in collaboration with Something Weird, the Sonney Amusement Enterprises Film Collection, and the UCLA Film & Television Archive, Kino Lorber has performed meticulous 4K restorations of these essential films, introducing them to a new generation of burlesque aficionados.
