"Liar" is a British thriller series created by Harry and Jack Williams. The show stars Joanne Froggatt as a smart and capable teacher in the middle of a breakup, who is set up on a date with a recently widowed surgeon (Ioan Gruffudd), whose son is a pupil at her school. However, the day after it is apparent that something has gone wrong, and the subsequent fallout rapidly spirals out of control, exposing the power of truth, deception and trust. The cast also includes Zoe Tapper, Warren Brown, Richie Campbell, and Jamie Flatters.
"Liar" premiered on ITV on September 11, 2017 in the U.K. and on September 27, 2017 on SundanceTV in the U.S. The second season premiered on March 2, 2020 on ITV and on April 8, 2020 on SundanceTV.
